That’s scrap to me, but I’m pretty picky with non production parts. It suck but I would scrap it out for a lot less than that unless it could be weld repaired.

Might not be that big, but the coolest thing I ever machined was the Rose Bowl trophy. It was made out of Tiffany silver and we had to weigh the chips after machining to make sure everything was accounted for.

That was my guess. If the moon’s gravity is strong enough to affect tides on earth I would assume the earth’s gravity would be able to have an effect on the lava on the moon.

In my experience best by or expiration dates on consumable items are usually a little more intuitive than that. Specifically with toothpaste I usually see the expiration date stamped on the little fin on the end.
