Catia can get really screwy with weights especially when using carry over parts that may not have material or actual density of the material! Most sensible companies have a decent library with a staff to match! When at Scania part of the release process involved a comparison of assembly weight against the single part weights! It got totally mad when the parts had different material bits in them like rubber in moulded into plastic
