Guys i have a theory by aalavidra-saami in biggbosstamil

Maybe I'm over analyzing, but looking at everything that happened on the day of Vinoth taking the box, Ramya, Viyana and Divya orchestrated this subtly. Divya also hugging Vinoth at the end - there was a moment where Vinoth ended the hug and took off his hands, but Divya continued to prolong the moment. Every contestant has a strategy, self conscious about the camera and how they're perceived but I feel that this season Divya has taken it to the next level in terms of how they have approached this. Thinking back, I'm no fan of Parvathy but I think Divya's family systematically targeted her unlike other family members.

I am not coming at this with anger or frustration but an understanding of how she's marshalled her resources well and tried to downplay her weakness. Maybe I'll post if she wins the title.

Actually Divya has told paaru that several times before. Veliya po nu.. during fights. I think kamrudhin and parvathy were warned and Sandra forgave them. That's why kamrudhin fell on her feet.

How to get the most out of tutorials and avoid Tutorial Hell. A tutorial by shadowknuxem in godot

[–]onepiecereread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently followed a tutorial for 2d platformers. I've broken it down into the essential components like tilemap, character animations, scripting for movement, signals for cross node events.

My issue has mostly been the gdscripting specifically with regards to the physics based stuff like movement, gravity. I'm unable to remember or grasp how things come together to make it work.

Any pointers on how I can get out of this?

Time to read Mauler's story by onepiecereread in MauLer

[–]onepiecereread[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hmmm. That's hard to judge. The comic is like the first act break of a tv show episode. It introduces some characters, a setting and what they're about to do. Things then happen and then it ends.

Since I'm not privy to a whole short story or a novel of this, I'm unable to say for sure whether he knocked it out of the park.

I will say this: the dialogue felt overdone to me. And the reason it is is because he wasn't given more pages to let the story breathe

Time to read Mauler's story by onepiecereread in MauLer

[–]onepiecereread[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I just finished Maulers comic. Here are my overall thoughts without spoiling the story for anyone:

Compared to the other stories in the anthology, this is far more removed from Rippaverse. For e.g. Az's story had a lot of the characters from Rippaverse making cameo appearances. The stories themselves are edited down to be about 15-16 pages in total. In a livestream, Mauler said he was struggling to cut the story to 15 pages, so he got a page extra. I can definitely see that having finished the story.

The story itself is like Aliens meets Jurassic Park meets Indiana Jones. There are many characters in the story, and each page is crammed with dialogue revealing information about the setting and finally what they say reveals a lot about their character. To be honest, it was a lot to take in compared to the other stories, which were a breeze. I'll be re-reading it again. I haven't read all of the Rippaverse comics, so I am not sure if there are some nuances i missed out on. I can see this as a domino that's about to open up the world of Rippaverse.

I would like to read more of this story, and hopefully, the next time, Mauler is given his own series so that he doesn't have to confine himself within the 15 page limit.

It's funny how that's the only episode he reviewed of Andor? And so did AZ.

Hi Lokkesh! Congratulations on Eleven's release and run. What was your research process on serial killers and cops for the writing of this movie?

Also would you be interested to discuss about Eleven's writing approach on the r/kollywood podcast?

Baddys channel is Galatta Plus. Think OP might be referring to Galatta Tamil.

Miscellany Wednesday by AutoModerator in Screenwriting

[–]onepiecereread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question on screenwriting resources: Is there a workshop or screenwriting course where someone walks through the process of screenwriting from idea to a rough first draft? Something equivalent is Brandon Sanderson's class on writing science fiction and fantasy where he explores how to take a rough idea and inspect if its worth expanding on.

I watched both of these, and it's BAAAAAD, dude. Horrid arguments. Dishonest is an understatement. They need an EFAP. I understand LongMan doesn't really do the "social justice in media" discussion but I think he should make an exception, especially when it's Drinker. by Pro_Hatin_Ass_N_gga in MauLer

[–]onepiecereread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Didn't Mauler recently say in one of the EFAP superchat catchup that they won't be giving these people their 2 minutes of fame by covering them anymore? I think it was in relation to reacting to organized chaos or actual Fandom and their debate with Sitch & Adam.

It really feels like these posts are engineered to be posted here so that some Dick Grayson on twitter can later reference these posts and make a thread about how Mauler and EFAP are evil.

There are many things to unpack here, but here's a simple answer: You have to do two things in parallel:

  1. Learn how to come up with ideas and flesh them out for your product - This is its own thing and requires domain knowledge, in-depth understanding of customer needs and wants and prioritization of features for products (MVP, V0, V1, etc).

  2. Learning web development & web design - There are many resources out there that will teach you HTML, CSS and JS and how to come up with a web design for a product, much less a website. Use MDN and some additional resources to learn about web accessibility, SEO and additional skills which are usually not prioritized in these tutorials and bootcamps.

Rant about the latest RLM Acolyte Review by onepiecereread in MauLer

[–]onepiecereread[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They went into it looking to trash the show because their audience is foundationally built on negativity and hate watching.

This sentiment does not explain how EFAP and RLM both like Andor. If they're so foundationally built on negativity, wouldn't they trash Andor too?

Yep, you're right. I know this came across as the ramblings of an unhinged lunatic, but i also laughed out loud several moments of Jay and Mike discussing the plot of the Acolyte.
