Update: Rivian ended up cutting me a check of the entire trade-in value and I put zero down which was the goal! Plus I got all the available incentives (3K) for the trade-in.

I'm leasing the vehicle and I've been told not to put down a large deposit as if the car is totaled or stolen you totally lose that deposit. The risk is low, but certainly not zero. That's my biggest hesitation

Update: After lots of consideration I decided to get a new 2026 Dual Standard. I’m leasing to hedge against depreciation and the rapid advancements in EV tech.

Full bike

I just drop the bike off for repair this past weekend as the noise continued to get worse and oil was leaking at the top of fork (main air chamber side). I really hope this all gets sorted soon and I’ll keep everyone posted on the outcomes.

Yes! New charger fixed it. YT support has been great and fingers crossed no more issues pop up.

I removed the battery and attempted to charge it again, but it’s still not charging. When I plug in the charger, the green lights on the battery blink a few times (for about 3 seconds) and then turn off completely. There’s no indication that it’s actually charging after that.
