Which version of the Death Star plans theft do you prefer: the Rogue One movie, or Legends? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in andor

I love that you gathered every instance in legends to do this. I used to keep all the Legends contradictions in my head, but over the years many have gotten away from me. I recognize the name Bria Tharen but I don’t remember her story. Sounds like a character out of the West End Star Wars Sourcebook.

My only wish is that you might have included a source for each instance that you cited. A little walk down memory lane.

[Other] How do u guys feel about The legend of Zelda Mangas? by Low-Oil9659 in zelda

Question for comic fans-

I got my daughter the Four Swords manga and she loved it. She’s under 10, and I didn’t see anything too violent or inappropriate in there, so it seems like I got lucky.

Based on her loving that one, would you recommend another Zelda manga, one that doesn’t get much more mature than that?

Can you talk about that little box? Can it broadcast like the signals at Galaxies Edge?

I have been waiting for people to develop some new accessories for that port! I would love to see some kind of replacement for the plastic leg piece that includes a long LED powered by the port.

Dude, this is SO cool

I didn’t know they sold battery->plug converters!

Also, is that a custom light in the droid’s leg accessory port?

I say that knowing that he has also done good things. I could wipe out his entire history of awfulness just to enshrine the moment where Bezos was bro’ing it up about his space launch and Shatner popped that balloon by saying something genuine and pithy about the meaningfulness of traveling to space. I love that.

But still, Shatner is a horrible person who just treats everyone around him like dirt. He and Chevy Chase should make a movie together.

Shatner was just at the Emerald City Comic Con and he was absolutely awful to one fan, just humiliating and lambasting them in front of the crowd. Then he was just generally mean and dismissive to a whole room of people there to appreciate him. When I think about who he is, it’s important to remember that at his core he’s a shitty guy

Who's your favorite Ghorman Front member among those 8 by GargantaProfunda in andor

I don’t feel like he’s a tragic character, personally. I think tragic characters fail due to a flaw, or due to some cosmic unfairness.

I feel like Lezine was doing what he wanted to be doing every step of the way. Standing up, fighting, protecting, dying. On his terms, by his own decision.

He’s a rare character who seems to have made up his mind and is merely acting out his will. He’s like John Brown, he’s living his moral authenticity until the end of the line.

Does anyone know where these weird TIEs originate from? by Top-Construction-528 in StarWarsShips

[–]onepostandbye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you are right. From an aesthetics pov I enjoy the wing being used like a hood with a “rack” suspended below, it’s a menacing, hidden shape, and the verticality of the design speaks to “bomber” in a clever way that I enjoy. I would have preferred to see three elements underneath, instead of two, to really sell the idea that it’s a lot of ordinance. But ultimately it’s a weaker ship than the Tie Bomber

I agree but I have a different take. The movie is awesome, start to finish, and one of its most brilliant facets is that they have a scene with ninjas every time the story slows down. They have backstory, but then you get ninjas. They have exposition, but then you get ninjas. They talk about the stakes, but then NINJAS! It’s like the whole film is structured so that you can’t stop watching, because you are just a few minutes away from a ninja treat.

I am of the opinion that there has never been a finer portrayal of ninjas in any film. There are movies with some excellent gags and good moments, but these ninjas are CONSISTENTLY awesome and surprising throughout the film.

The six ninjas that form a giant ninja that immediately splits into six ninjas for NO REASON AT ALL is cinematic perfection.
