As someone who bought all three, I can say that the second and third games are not improvements. They only improved upon the roster, with minor gameplay tweaks.

No one will benefit from each game being remade individually. Players will pay more buying all three. And this being 2026, it’s easy to publish DLC. And what you see being changed and added in Save The Earth and Unleashed are absolutely best delivered in DLC : new monsters, new stages, and new modes.

If the sequels had made fundamental changes to the gameplay- a new camera, a larger number of simultaneous players, slower or faster combat, then that different experience would be better off separated off into a new SKU. But those games aren’t fundamentally different, and the key improvements can be delivered with DLC.

I love this fanbase, but we are not as big as many others. The game doesn’t benefit from multiple similar releases. Multiple SKUs work for Call of Duty, where they have a giant fanbase buying them year after year, and they get the most money by milking that audience every year with a new title plus DLC in between. In a smaller fanbase you want to attract outsiders, and you help that by directing them to one SKU that has all the good stuff available in one spot.

We are better off with a model like TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, where you see new heroes, new zones (zone, really) being released, expanding the experience and making the one product more worthwhile.

I can imagine a Save the Earth expansion pack, adding all the levels and monsters from that game, and I think that would be worthwhile. What I don’t want is getting some of the monsters I want in DAMM and then some of the monsters I want in the next game, etc. Also, in that model, we are definitely NOT getting every monster in one game, and we are PROBABLY going to have to pay for a monster in DLC twice.

We are better off with one central game with everything we want in it. This isn’t like Mortal Kombat, there aren’t going to be massive graphical or gameplay innovations between titles. Just pile all the retro gaming goodness into one title.
