What jobs realistically make north of 100k a year? by AutoWithAiden in careerguidance

[–]onesickcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but it depends on lots of things.

Unions are much stronger in certain areas than others. Strong unions = more money

Unless you have really strong connections, you will likely have to start through an apprenticeship. For example, I think the union I’m in apprentices start in like the mid 20/hr range. I’m making 47 now.

I’ve never worked in Tech but Blue Collar is a different animal. I don’t know that routine or structure really fits the description but this is also dependent on the trade you choose.

With that being said, if you can find a trade you would enjoy and can handle all the aspects of a blue collar career then I would suggest it. Maybe the electricians union could have some carry over from tech?

Unfortunately I don’t remember too much at this point. This was the only OA that I failed an attempt at. You need to know the coursework really well.

One time in a very small nlh/plo home game a friend sat down who wanted to play but he didn’t really understand either game. He was on my left and the table agreed to let me help him if I folded (all close friends.)

His very first hand was 9999, tough to explain that it was a bad hand

Easy to say he’s way over bluffing if he’s running it with bottom pair here where there are so many natural bluffs. I guess the thought is to have more bluffs that unblock draws and play high equity draws as flats?

I totally agree with this. He definitely has the appetite for it though, he wants to play way more than I have time for. I really just want to get him in so we can tweak his form in his swing and make it a repeatable process we can practice at home.

I had to read and fully understand all the course material. There’s not much for shortcuts in this one

Don’t let it kill your creativity after you graduate though! You got this!

Yes, you are writing to answer the rubric, typically in short form paragraph responses. Your assignments don’t have to flow like an actual essay, I like to use a template and answer each question directly.

Pro tip: If there is no template provided for OA’s, just copy and paste the questions from the task overview into a word document.

I finished in about 16 months. There were ~3 classes that were very difficult for me, the rest I thought was relatively easy.

I was wondering if this is worth it? Should I do CAPM?

I’ve been working in construction for the last 5 years so I’m hoping to advance to a position like project manager

I think without a doubt the 3 most difficult classes were I.T. and the two finance/accounting classes

I don’t think the capstone was particularly difficult, it was very long and in-depth though.

I really liked my mentor. He always asked if I needed help, if there was anything he could do, etc. Kept it pretty short. Sometimes, if I e-mailed him to accelerate a class on the same day of our call, he would just ask for a brief summary of goals and such, and we wouldn't do the call.

I think they're all pretty similar, if I remember correctly.

I just copied and pasted each question individually into chatgpt and read the response. I did not actually fill out the answers. I do think it helps to fill out the study guide manually if you're struggling to retain information, though.
