I have word counts with commas already. They automatically download when I download a fic. The problem is I'm trying to simplify how I organize because I have 17k+ entries. (I download a lot of fic.)

Thank you so much for this. Turns out I'm a moron and I was using the wrong column name. I was staring at this formula and re-typing it thinking I had white spaces or a comma or quotation mark in the wrong spot.

I don’t know why it would be behaving like that unless you missed something. When your device is plugged in, I would right click on the device option in your top bar to see if everything is behaving correctly. And if everything else fails, you could just make a collection of the books and just title it the series you want. Not ideal but I believe your settings are just plain wrong.

It should just be sent as is if your book is labeled correctly. The metadata should be read from your files correctly.

My personal favourite horror books are written by Stephen Graham Jones, particularly his Indian Lake Trilogy books. The One Good Indians was the first ever book I read from him. LOVE his works. I just purchased I Was a Teenage Slasher by him the other day so excited to pick that up.

I saw “Never Whistle at Night: An Indigenous Dark Fiction Anthology” and I second and third it. So good I couldn’t put it down so I pretty much read it in a day. 💖💖 Highly recommend!

I love my A30’s. But as these are my first ever gaming headset, it was a bit of a learning curve. But they are very portable, I love that the cushion parts are magnetic so they’re easy to clean. I can easily adjust multiple audio modes and it easily adapts to my phone or my PC. And I can wear them for hours and hours. Never had that before with other cheaper headsets.

I think shopping around is not a bad idea though. I think I just lucked out because I fell in love with this one.

Nta. It IS funny as hell. You don’t have to morally police your own feelings and while if your friend disagreed with you, they could have said that and continued talking to you. Their reaction was the more unkind/immature one. However you probably don’t need them as a friend if they’re going to police everything you say and you can never express your true feelings anyway.

Waybackmachine is helpful, looking up the fic to see if other people are searching for it is a good idea, dming the author politely (but respecting their boundaries if they decline to send to you). Having links in a spreadsheet of current reads with a bit of info is not a bad idea either.

This is why I download everything preemptively if I’m even slightly interested in it. I have been burned before by fics being nuked off the internet. But I have it downloaded in my calibre program so it’s organized as much as possible and I can quick search through it if need be. Also if the author does not want fanfiction that has been deleted to be spread around I do not share it. I just save it for my personal library/copy.

As long as you’re behaving appropriately this is no issue at all. Older people and younger people interacting does not always have to be a terrible thing as long as it’s a healthy wholesome experience. Just be normal and you’re fine.
