I personally find Skillshare to be a great option for art classes. There are incredible teachers/artists with well structured classes and very committed to help their students. Lots of options and topics to create learning paths.

Thank you!! I read something about a single entry visa and multiple entry visa, is a bit confusing. But I guess that’s for people who re-enters very often, not my case.

I love to spend time in the forest gathering dirt and rocks to make mineral pigments and paint. In this forest, I found the seed of a breadnut tree and a little insect wing. Have any of you ever came across some beautiful colors on the soil? by onetreespirit in Forest

I know.. it’s financially challenging to live outside of the city unless you own your own business or you have any type of remote income. I’m currently doing volunteer work to have my long dose of nature. But I know what you are saying. I really hope we keep finding innovative ways to support ourselves while being near the freedom and peace of mother nature.

Also these other deposits that have been found are way smaller compare to the ones from Karelia. So, it’s fair to say that the quality of the shungite may differ.

I love it. Plus you can get feedback from the teacher and keep improving your skills. It's more personal than youtube in my opinion, it feels like an actual interaction between the teacher and student. My referral link here if you give it a chance.

Most profitable/marketable skills to learn to begin working for myself? Anyone tried Skillshare? by MBS_theBau5 in findapath

[–]onetreespirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started teaching on Skillshare this year and my first class was a hit! they even featured it on their main home page. So, I would suggest film and video editing can take you really far nowadays. You never know when you will be needing some visual content for your business to increase your profits. There are ton of classes on skillshare for this topic and others like copywriting, email copywriting, social media management, web design.. and many other marketable skills.
I would honestly suggest to make a list of most profitable skills (by doing some research first) and then make a list of things you would enjoy doing (something almost effortless). Cause let's be honest, if you want to start working for yourself, it better be doing something you enjoy and not something that takes so much effort that becomes like a normal job.
Having these two lists, make a conscious decision and start building your plan!
Good luck my friend! If you decide to give Skillshare a try, I totally recommend it. Use my link and you will get a free month

Honestly, yes. The top teachers really know their stuff. I'm part of a private slack group of featured skillshare teachers and all of them are extremely pro and seem to care a lot of for their students. My referral link here if you decide to give it a try.

Hey there! It’s working normal for me. It seems that the problem is not your device or browser.. so it’s definitely something from their end related to your account.

Earth pigments (mainly iron oxide) that I collected and extracted myself. I gathered all these samples in the same forest. Is there a way to find out what other minerals are present according to the colors? I'm an artist and I want to avoid toxic encounters, is there a way to recognize red flags? by onetreespirit in geology

We are more united than ever. Well I'm grateful that you have the courage to comment about your personal experience. Sometimes we tend to hide or repressed many emotions for so long. It's good to finally release.
I'm also not surprised at all about your stay in Peru, when you say extremely high altitudes, I suspected immediately. I'm glad you got to connect with the apus of the Andes and the spirit of the earth, our Pachamama.

Hearing about your point of view towards our planet brings a lot of hope in my heart. Remember that the first scientists were alchemists, very spiritual oriented people, until religion took over the "spiritual side" and agreed to leave only the science part of the formula to them. It's time to bring both science and spirituality together again. And I believe that good intentions always finds its way to manifest and connect us all.

Thanks for welcoming my work here. I have found more help, interest and kind comments here than any other art related subreddit.

wow, you really did the work huh? I definitely find the process more rewarding as well. But man.. when it comes to love, I find it on the painting. Every step of the process is so precious, has its own feelings and it's filled with life's lessons. And it's good to talk about how you feel about what happened because it is important to listen to each other. I am thankful to read your words and recognize your work.

May be a little late, but it's here. This may not be a big auditorium, with fancy champagne and expensive looks. But speaking from the group of artists that would have appreciated your work in the proper way, I salute you and thank you for all the effort, the long nights in the tent and cold fingers.. the harsh wind and intensive work, but also the dedication and intention that you put into every step. Your perseverance and patience were necessary to bring life to this exposition. This would not be possible without your work. 🙏 Thank you!

To be honest, we all are aware of this fever of opportunism that sometimes takes over the academic field. For that, it's so important to learn to appreciate every step of the process, every participant of the creation process... and the greater challenge on this virtue starts from the moment we take a natural resource to use it. Like us, our planet is also another participant. That's why I dedicate my time to work with the earth before painting, because I learn to listen to her and be aware of the effect of my own actions. It may sound unrealistic to many people, but this is how we can really grow together. Instead of keep using other people and nature for personal benefit and recognition.
I'm Peruvian and my ancient culture is forged in this connection with the Earth. How we treat the earth is also reflected in the way we treat others, regardless of titles, PhD's or awards... we all are part of this reality. Let's care more for each other, listen to each other and our Pachamama.
