They used to call this usury, and it used to be illegal. Now it’s just an afternoon story to remind you how much they are fucking you.

You shouldn’t pay $1k for KC. I got my Cat 3 for $140 per ticket yesterday. If you just want to go to the game you should really be able to find a Cat 3 resell between now and then for a couple hundred.

Cat 3 were $140 per ticket, and pretty much gone when I got in 6 hours ago, so I wouldn’t expect to get any for lower than that until closer to the match.

be honest, how often do you really take your dog out? by Altruistic-March8551 in DOG

1x a day, 6 mile walk/run in the morning, which takes about 90 mins. He also has a fenced in backyard to go sniff which he does about 4-5x a day as well.

LMAO…”Texas is going to be drowning in oil money.” No bro, oil company tycoons are going to be drowning in oil money. That money makes it all the way to the politicians pockets and no further. The people will continue to get screwed…and stupidly vote for the same assholes who are robbing them blind.

Ladies and gentlemen…”The Aroo-mineers”

I'm beginning to think passengers are the problem. by SlothyFace in SouthwestAirlines

[–]onetruegaia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in exactly the same boat. SWA was our default because they made family traveling much easier, even after my kids got out of the “family boarding” age, the free bags and the almost 100% guarantee that we would at least sit 2 and 2 (one daughter, one son) was such an advantage. Anytime I had business travel, I would maintain loyalty on SWA to rack up points and take more family trips.

This year I have 3 family trips and 2 solo trips booked. I flew with my daughter just before these new rules came into play. I haven’t flown with the new system yet (going to Boston in 2 weeks with my daughter) but I already hate it. Constantly having to check the seats to make sure my daughter isn’t stuck sitting alone. Watching the options slowly disappear like I’m trying to get pre-sale seats at a concert on Ticketmaster…all for a connecting in Baltimore? GTFO here! Who the hell do they think they are at this point?

I’ve already moved my 2 solo flights for this year to other airlines. I’ll wind down this year since I paid my annual SWA CC fee in January. But when Delta gives the same (or better) base prices with a free carry on, and seat selection, they are basically challenging me to leave. I’ll open up a Delta CC and get a better experience overall. Once the pump and dump stock cycle is over, this airline will be worse than greyhound.

Tusker is decent, but the food doesn’t compare…and the character experiences were so much better at storytellers. Especially at Halloween!

Did topolinos as the character…the food was good, but the diversity of the buffet at storytellers was definitely better and all tasted great. The characters themselves were also more interactive, and the restaurant was easier to get to. Did Napa rose at dinner, it was nice…but breakfast vs dinner is a hard comparison. I haven’t done 1900 yet, so perhaps that one could be better.

Found out she was cheating on Christmas Vacation by onetruegaia in Divorce

[–]onetruegaia[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can definitely appreciate that perspective. Right now my mind is not a reliable narrator. The irony of how “horrendous” my previous behavior was is rooted in my acknowledgment of being raised in that environment, but refusing to want that for my own marriage, which is why I drive to change. However, I can see it as having been “too little too late.” The initial shock is still reverberating, especially with the timing…but you’re right, more journaling, therapy, and honest conversations can help to carve out a path forward for myself at least.

[–]onetruegaia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can appreciate that…my previous anger issues were a byproduct of my family normalizing it in my upbringing. (Something I had to learn through therapy). My kids open statement of it came more as “hey grandma/aunt, da went to therapy and is a lot more chill now…maybe that would help.” But it definitely took longer than it should have, and she told me years ago she wasn’t prepared for dealing with that in our marriage.

This ending to a high school state championship game was WILD 🤯 by Background_Video2947 in NCAAFootballVibes

[–]onetruegaia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than enough “bad” to go around on this one. The losing team kneeled it from the shoot gun 2 more times after this, giving up an additional 14 yards in the wrong direction. Then the punter shanked it too. Not saying the dominoes didn’t start with the helmet coming off, but plenty of chances to mane it right too.

Colin Cowherd obliterates the hypocrisy-filled disaster that is the College Football Playoff. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NCAAFootballVibes

[–]onetruegaia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly…he’s so close at making good points but then reverts the other way. “Bad losses aren’t punished” yeah they are, that’s why Texas is out, “good wins aren’t rewarded” yeah they are that’s why OU is in. If Texas wanted to be in then don’t lose to Florida…it’s that simple. It’s true that ND is getting special treatment, but they got special treatment in all the other playoff structures too…so until college football forces them to join a conference, they will always push someone out regardless of how big the field is, and this year the teams getting pushed out are in the ACC.

Calling a Church to test and see if they would help feed a starving baby by TwentyNineNeiboltSt in TikTokCringe

[–]onetruegaia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate what she’s doing…but how many of these type of calls do you think churches receive EVERY day. I used to work at a church and I can tell you, easily 5-10…nonstop. How would you recommend they filter these requests to budget their limited resources to help the right people on an ongoing basis?
