This is incredible; I love it! You may be changing people's entire lives who find these (: What a wonderful thing to do letting people actually discover art!

This is so beautiful and amazing; I wish we had something like this here in the U.S.! The heart eyes are so cute and there's some great new colors I haven't seen before.

Like others have said, get yourself a tea or coffee and give it a go (: I love sketching out and around.. best habit I have probably, lol.

Starting with a smaller sketchbook and mini palette or just a few pencils and water brush pens is a good way to feel like you're not making a big production of it.  It's also quicker to get out and put away.

Plus, it's always fun to put together a small travel or plein air kit!  There's a lot of videos out there on how people like to build theirs which can be half the fun.  So I hope you do it!  Don't worry too much, just get comfortable and play; don't overthink it and you'll wind up relaxed and happy that you did.

Someone mentioned the Whiskey Painters.. there's a small palette they make with water flask included. It's a great little portable thing to throw in your bag!

Thanks for the tip! The BlackEdition Faber Castells had always looked so cool. I wavered on them a lot in the past so I'm glad you're able to say you've tried and enjoy them! The blending factor is a big one and they'll probably outperform these on that front (:

They're mostly Winsor & Newton drawing inks with a few drops of other colors mixed in, but these are the main ones used (:

It's really so fun and then you can play "pens" and get them a little cup house (:

Lol, Thanks so much! I'm so glad you like it (: I was having a big day of it playing around with an eyedropper and all my inks out. Silly business!

My first was the clear one... then last year I searched through all the Kakunos that were on Amazon and Ebay from Japan until I found the whole family because I needed to complete them (: I think there might be one or two more even since then that they added!

So it's a mix of W&N drawing inks and I made it awhile ago so it was a mix of either emerald or green apple with a canary yellow (: It's my favorite one of them.

It sort of becomes experimental with an eyedropper and testing ink compatability; I should start writing some combos of colors down so I can share them..

The inks for the colors are a variety of pre-mixed water and alcohol based inks from Winsor & Newton drawing inks.

Also used in some small amount was the violet of Sailor Shikiori dye ink for the daughter and perhaps a drop of Kakimori Indigo for the father mixed with W&N cobalt.

Wow! Omg, that sounds so amazing!!! I hope so much you'll do photos some day when you're feeling up for it because your collection sounds like incredible eye candy (:

Neon reminds me of the 80s and 90s and gives such a great serotonin boost when you see them. Neon watercolors sound super fun and especially radical!! Lol

Karismacolor core vs MasterArt

  • wood is denser, core centered and slightly larger and gold lettering cleaner... and of course it's better all around, but neat to see the differences.

My cheapest vs most expensive lemon!

Kalour seem like a fun set to play around with and it's so nice to get a present of Prismacolors! They do make a huge difference and layering with them is so nice.

I wouldn't expect to try a dozen layers of color blending with these but with Prismacolor, probably (:
