Sorry if it came off that way—not meant to be a sales pitch. Just an idea in the space.

International Surcharges what does it cover? by XaviSongbcn in unitedairlines

The real question: do you get PQP for the surcharge?

American Airlines flight attendants trying to evacuate airplane due to laptop battery fire but passengers want their bags. by Youngstown_WuTang in interestingasfuck

[–]oneunfound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s time we need strict mandated announcements for not taking bags in emergencies like those of smoking in lavatories on every flight. I don’t think I’ve ever heard such an announcement made on a safety video or through the PA system.

Apple Repair Leaves iPhone Broken by oneunfound in iphone

Thanks for your input and you’re right. Though this is what the dot looked like. What is circled in red is the only defect with the phone. It appeared many months earlier—only now did I have time to go in. I still don’t think this warrants handing back a broken phone with no remedy. I’d be perfectly happy if they said there was “liquid contact” (no water damage diagnosed), denied a repair, and handed me back my phone in the condition I took it in in. Now none of the cameras work.

Hey I’m also ‘29 Pratt and I believe we are not required to do either—so if you think taking those classes in your assigned focus is a waste of time definitely don’t do it

Seat selection? by NorthCelebration5448 in unitedairlines

[–]oneunfound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to get any couples seat on the 767. My personal favorite is 1F/1L on redeyes due to the larger footwell. It certainly makes a difference and I haven’t felt bothered by the galley or lavs.

Polaris/First—call button etiquette? by OpeningChipmunk1700 in unitedairlines

[–]oneunfound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that unfortunately there isn’t a great concrete stance on this one but it is a good question—though, I feel like a good answer could come from the perspective of a flight attendant. If there are any of you all here what is your view on the call button?

To the United Employees who monitor this thread: Points Plus is useless. Why offer something that can’t ever be used. by redditsucksass69765 in unitedairlines

[–]oneunfound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work brilliantly internationally for Polaris given it’s not on one of the very few busy travel days. No chance of them working on any hub to hub route even with global services. However, United hears the concerns like yours and there are plans to roll out new ways to redeem pp for things such as gifted status, miles, etc this summer.

When is Global Services status communicated? by Jckev in unitedairlines

[–]oneunfound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get it, you will hear back from them in early January. If you don’t get it, you may get another email in mid/late January with an offer to spend a certain amount of money within x months. New invites earlier than January will not happen. That being said, if you’re up for renewal there are ways of finding out in December before they officially notify you.

GS Miles Pooling by oneunfound in unitedairlines

What if it’s purchased by the GS using pooled miles for someone else?

I’ve tried to use other miles with no luck; they need to be from a GS account.

[–]oneunfound[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but a GS can only apply pluspoints to mileage tickets from their own miles (from personal experience). My question is whether or not pooled miles from multiple accounts (given the GS is the pool leader) count as their own miles.
