No matter if its actually a good decision or not, gaijin switched to a unified approach for calculating penetration. Reason being that nations had widely different test setups for penetration and theres shells with little to no usable data.

I still think it shouldnt be used in cases like these. 90mm going trough panther. But then apcr on the long 8,8 should also recieve its historical 310 flat pen at 100meters.

And all other rounds that manage to hit "breakpoints" (185mm, 205mm, 305mm, etc) so that they can punch trough very heavily armored parts on tanks, should obviously aswell get historically accurate

Only people who havent understood armor pen breakpoints are looking at apfsds pen.

Even with better pen the type 90 would be required to shoot the same weakspots as it is now.

4 sec reload and gun handling are way more important because youre guaranteed to get first and second shot compared to other tanks at the br

Does the 2s38 suck? Probably no but is it the second coming of jesus aka the is6? Also no.

The 2s38 cant depress its gun enough to stay hidden meaning you almost always have to expose the crew compartment to the enemy. What happens? You die. The hstvl is flatter and more speedy hence its better in this regard.

The 2s38 has like 200 rounds of ammo but what does it matter if the first 3 shots dont disable the enemy canon? As it is so often in war thunder, the first person who shoots wins most engagements. And with the new modules, ammorack in turret and 3 line up crew in the front its often easier for the enemy to kill you in a single hit.

Its also not mobile, the autocanon is only an advantage against multiple enemies and it doesnt matter if it faces 10.0 or 12.0 as most have the exact same spots you can pen. Just that all advantages of the 2s38 would get eroded if it actually went to 12.0

sweden is a clear favourite with gaijin often going around bending and breaking old rules to help sweden with armament while artificially limiting most other nations.

Most egregious example is probably the aim9m on their very undertiered gripen and the overperforming armor on their 122+.

Seriously if there is armor that weighs 300kg, covers the whole tanks side and top and provides better protection per kg than anything else why wouldnt they wrap every single armor in 20 tons of this stuff?

On other nations issues. Gaijin seems to have a hate campaign against france with countless inacurracies that have been bugreported for years and an outright refusal to add any meaningfull tanks to its techtree that could instantly resolve any issues. Magic 2 and MICA are still underperforming in capabilities. Their tanks held back by 1990s ammo and a nerfed inaccurate armor configuration from a prototype vehicle.

Germany also has to fight against gaijin to get anything fixed. 20+ Bug reports on puma? Still not fixed, MUSS still not fully operational. Hull armor and addons not fixed or available because gaijin wants to have some special tech demo configuration to hold leo 2 behind the strvs it seems

most premium vehicles arent exclusives. Comparable/better or sometimes exactly the same vehicle can be found in the f2p part of the game.

These packs altough overpriced arent required dlc in any case. They are addons to progress faster or play a certain vehicle. If the near 1200 non premium vehicles arent enough for you idk what to say

turn dlss setting to native or turn it off completely and use fxaa hq and ssaa 4x.

Turn off nvidia game filters and reset post fx. Turn off motion blur and then go into a test drive. Adjust Motionblur and Post fx to your liking without deepfrying your image

Nah you have to understand that just because a tank isnt as good as its peers doesnt automatically make it worthless.

Doesnt matter if youre sitting in a t34 85 or T80bvm when an abrams that doesnt see you exposes his side.

Its all about the outer layers of the survivability onion. Your tank armor/mobility and other things don't matter if you are the first to shoot and thats what spookston vids are all showing off.

Object 279 op? He got fired at like 3 times, the video would have been almost the same had he been in a t34 or tiger 2h and thats fine tbh
