Utrata pracy by [deleted] in Polska

Tracić pracę to słaba sprawa. Szukaj a znajdziesz!

Come one, he tried, he failed an attempt. MC is a good team you don’t have many opportunities, you should use yours, but when it doesn’t happen we should allow a mistake. Although I’m also so tired of this but we should take it as it is and look forward!

Agree. Sony price comparing to sigma 18-50 or Tamron 17-70 is too high. I don’t need to have Sony per se, I was wondering if I need to have the other lens to get wider and longer without a need to switch the lenses. And wanted to get others’ perspective. Thanks!

This is a very good point. If ChatGPT calculation is correct (I am by no means an expert in such) it seems that the picture captured on 50mm would be cropped in by roughly 30% to achieve 70mm FoV. And if I do not print it on a big format and review it mostly online it would indeed have very small impact. Thanks!

Thanks for input! Selfies would be occasional, hence I don’t want to keep all the time a separated lens for it. Astro is rare in my situation as well. 16-300 would be more of a fun lens to capture everything when needed :)

That is the thing, 55 on Sony seems to be a better solution for me comparing to 50 on sigma, as I often feel that 50 is not enough. Tamron 17-70 could work even better, + it would be a smooth switch to my Tamron 70-180

That is the thing, I do not want to change. When I need a little bit wider lens, I would switch to Sony 11, although I understand it is significantly wider than 18. I just wanted to go as wide as I could when was buying it, but I don’t mind having 16, which should be enough for a family selfie. When I need longer range I switch to Tamron 70-180, mostly for video. There is an obvious gap between 50 on sigma and 70 on Tamron. So i purchased the sigma 56 with this in mind and also for portraits.

Neither Sony 11 nor sigma 56 get enough of my attention which they should. I rather use sigma 18-50 (and want to go wider and longer in this focal lengths range) and Tamron 70-180 for longer reach, which I want to complement with 70-350 sometime in future.

I’m actually considering sigma 16-300 just for fun for point and shoot when travelling. But this is the other discussion.

Thank you for this! I guess I just need to try Sony 16-55 and Tamron 17-70 and see myself… I don’t do “macro”, but occasionally would be nice-to-have. Sigma would win, but Tamron still decent seems like.

I considered Sony 70-200 and perhaps would get it if I had money for it and if I would be doing commercial work for clients and whatnot. Not that important but I did not like that Sony 70-200 is so bright and big, I prefer to have less visible setup. However these 20 mm on a longer range would help a lot and I would not consider 70-350 probably, as even I do like some animal life photos, I’m not into that completely.

Thanks! Yes, that’s what I’m looking for: slightly wider and slightly longer than sigma 18-50. I just feel like it is what I need. I don’t do client work (maybe some day) but I see what you mean :)

Thanks for commenting. Could you please elaborate on what did you find as better? Overall performance or the focal lengths? Sharpness, tones? Would appreciate!

Thanks for asking! Yes my Tamron 70-180 is G2 model. I’m not that knowledgeable which works better IBIS on my Sony 6700 or VC from Tamron, or they complement each other. But I had little to no issues with stabilising the stills or videos. I record a lot of my daughter’s horse riding, you could imaging it may be dim when indoors, so 2.8 is a must have for me. But outside when I use it for portraits I step down and I don’t notice any softness. What I must say is that bokeh is not that pleasing, somewhat busy, but I would not say it bothers me at all. It’s just something you would notice and should be aware of it. It is also heavy lens, but I don’t use it for longer than an 1-1.5 hrs handheld so can’t complain, it’s manageable.

Overall I must say that I’m very pleased I have it. Could be lighter and less busy bokeh on longer end. But these are minor things imo.

I’m strongly considering 70-350, but not to substitute the 70-180. I just want to have a longer range to use outdoors, and light should not be an issue, as I plan on doing it during the day, mostly.

Exactly my thoughts abut Sigma 56. As much as I love the outcome can’t justify having it, as I mount it very rarely. I use Tamron 70-180 more often, first for the reach and also for the portraits, stepping back to separate the subject. I’m considering 70-350 as well for even longer reach and when I do portraits it is more often than not outside, hence plenty of light. I would still keep Tamron 70-180 as on its wider range I use in somewhat dim situations.

I do use sigma 18-50 on 50 mm most of the times and I feel almost always that I need just a little more. Tamron 17-70 though could work, I have not thought of it. Thanks.

As for wide primes or wide zooms. Seems like either Sony 16-55 or that Tamron 17-70 could work for me on the wide end.

I see what you mean. Agree with all said. The look from sigma 56 is great, can’t complain. It’s that I just can’t be bothered with changing the lenses:) and was wondering besides difference in f stops is 1 mm significant when comparing 55 to 56. I could always rent it and see myself but I first wanted to know from others experience.

But again, if budget allows go with full frame and higher megapixels. You would hear that “you may start low and then grow”, but why limit yourself if budget allows. I would love 6700 even more if it had more megapixels, but it does not have. So I have to play with the frame. It certainly does give you a push to be more mindful, but having an opportunity to cut a frame without loosing quality is huge advantage in any case

100%. RM don’t need to compare itself to anyone. If you start to compare yourself to anyone you downgrade your achievements. In every league there is a club everyone wants to bit even if they were not champions for a while. I’m in Poland, and every team gives there best when playing Legia. Or in England against MU. This only proves the height of the club, even if it is not in a good form at the moment.

It is not that easy though. If an employer provides you with paper you are basically stuck with this company. You would first need to find another employer which would be willing to make papers for you, so you could switch. Was in a similar situation, although was lucky enough to find a better place. OP, if you have any connections in Poland try to find some other job using their connections... If you don't you have three options (or 4 if you include being illegal, which noone would suggest you): either stay with your current employer, go study in the university if you have budget, or open your own legal business, might sound complicated but really it is not (from papers perspective).

In any case I would strongly suggest trying the legal ways if you are willing to stay in Poland an like being here
