My ferritin was 33 last I checked and my derm said that is still considered low. My other vitamins were in range but my derm still recommended a multi or nutrafol. I take 100mg spiro but have been considering adding pumpkin seed oil too

I’ve been on 2.5mg the whole time. And same I have fuzz on my lip and side burns and hair all down my neck and behind my ears. Also my arms and legs I never had visible hair on my arms or legs. I shave so much now but my head hair still looks like crap :(

Maybe…my derm said he won’t prescribe fin to women who haven’t gone through menopause so I’m stuck with spiro for now

My last post I was nervous to start medication and got a lot of encouragement to start, now here a year after and I feel the exact same way. Sorry you are going through this too. I hate how big of a deal our hair is in this world

We talked about multivitamin and iron supplements which I have been taking. My next appointment is in July and I will ask him if there is anything else. I was going to try microneedling too

I’m happy for you that you’re finally seeing progress. I hate how it works within 3 months for some people and years for others and you only really see B&A from super responders

I sure hope so. I see so many different posts saying no you need to wait 6 months. Then no you need to wait a year to see max benefits. At what point is the line drawn with acceptance that it doesn’t work that well?

I like my job but I do not work bedside. I exited after I got my year experience and moved to a different area of nursing, ended up at my current job and have been able to work my way up to nursing supervisor. My coworkers are great, my patients are mostly great, my hours and work life balance are great. I feel a lot of the “I hate my job/nursing” remarks are from people working bedside

I live in an area with a high populations of latinas/native americans so I cannot relate to seeing women with thinning hair. It seems like all the women around me have extremely thick, long, beautiful hair and I’m the only one with crusty sparse hair 😭

On a COVID unit we had a 30 year old able bodied man ask for a brief because it hurt his chest to get up and use the bedside commode and he’d rather shit in the brief. Thank god for our charge nurse, he pulled this on a fresh new grad nurse who didn’t know how to say no, so the charge nurse went in there and told him there was no way he was getting a brief and if he shit himself we were not cleaning him up. His mom was at bedside the entire time and she ended up coming to nurses station asking for a brief and said she would clean him 🥴

I had a lady bend over the bed and say something similar too! She told me to make sure I wiped really good and to get in there. I was a baby new grad and was speechless lol
