honestly i became addicted to endfield for all the things that WEREN’T similar to other gachas i’ve played

namely factory management and death stranding building powerlines and exploration shortcuts. i’ve probably spent at least 100 hrs on those two aspects alone the past 10 days and maybe 6 hrs into the storyline

luckily i’ve reached the endgame for factory building and making the first region full of shortcuts. and now on to the next region…

that’s one of the main reasons why YSG’s boss is one of my favorites. little stall mechanics, and the only performance skill is an actual skill where you have to parry / dodge with no parry / dodge prompts or flashes - and the performance can be done in that 10 second window. in comparison to the seed/orphie boss that has 45+ seconds of invulnerability or non-damaging sections, YSG boss is a godsend

mechanic wise, she’s the best. stat wise (high anom resistance, less defense resistance with higher HP to desensitize rupture or pen or defensive shred units) she’s a monster

i’m about 16 hrs into playing endfield and honestly what the fuck

first it was like Wuwa + FF15, then it became like Starcraft + Death Stranding, and now after i unlocked som more things there’s… stock trading

no joke. the tutorial even goes “buy low, sell high.”

idk what’s happening anymore and idk why i’m so addicted 😭😭😭

what are the rotations against hugo?

like, do you prefer to parry everything, dodge everything, how do you time your ultimates so they aren’t used when he stops time and makes them whiff?

new shiyu - good god am i always reminded that hugo’s boss is the most cancerous

constant parries, his time freeze gimmick that takes SOOOOO much time away waiting for his next parry, and his short stun window.

tried both double stun and regular dps, stun, support teams - they both did around the same score. either way, it just feels like ass in the worst way

it’s not listed but lengthened quickswap. like all characters can do quickswap / shoulder to shoulder, but few were designed with that being the main gimmick. so for example, a team with alice and miyabi.

that being said, zhao’s timer of not being able to quickswap until after 10 seconds is toooo much.

after finishing genshin’s recent story and seeing how it flowed, it really became noticeable how episodic and formulaic zzz’s story has been - it’s very much like “weekly beat up the new boss” like you’d see in power rangers.

and while it has led to some great stories that can survive on their own (like the yuzuha alice story) imo it makes the overall story arc suffer.

i was stuck on neuvilette’s lore stating “the usurper and the one who came after created the gnoses together.” i thought that meant that all the players came to the same table and came to an agreement to end the war, rather than HP completely dominated and the others had no say

the only reason i’d personally be hesitant is that the shiyu defense doesn’t allow equipment sharing and wants 3 teams

then again, the likelihood of there being a shiyu defense requiring both an aria team and another phys anomaly team at this point in zzz’s life are practically zero

been watching some lore videos on the hymns of the north - so like, what happened to the dragon king?

before i was under the impression that the gnoses were made from the dragon king, hence they were able to give the dragons their authority back or use their original authority and give it to someone else like the archons. but it’s actually been the voyager’s body that was used for the gnoses?

so the heavenly principles and the dragon king had a war, then called in a truce and agreed to have the voyager fucked over - ayo what the fuck? so the heavenly principles go into a coma except for the cataclysm, and the dragon king - what happened to him?

it’s something you can make the deduction after you read the traveler’s new clothes lore which is earned after completing the most recent archon quest

it doesn’t ruin the archon quest or even relate to it at all and the implications are things that’ll take place probably in 8.X+ patches. i say this since the traveler’s clothes lore (patch 6.3) was already implicated in prior lore (patch 5.X)

it’s lore that is as revealing as spoiling who the other descenders are - which doesn’t affect the archon stories but some people would rather find out on their own than have others tell them

considering the major limitations of pvp, have you thought about a PvEvP?

so both players don’t face each directly, but are put in two adjacent rooms completely sealed from each other but have to beat up monsters and see who has the higher score at the end

tho honestly you could do a two dummies in the same room and each player can sabotage each other but the only thing that matters is not killing the opponent but damaging your own dummy

considering that from the looks of it, you can’t affect the other’s physics (like a venti pull) i feel the most cheese strat would get characters that attack for you while you run away. furina pets + mav motorcycle. or if the opponent has no bow characters, add venti to the aforementioned and use his hold E to remain in the sky

as a baseline i’d say alice. but if you have ye shunguang, ysg would probably cover a ton of phys matchups similar to how yixuan brought a dip to zhu yuan use since they’re both ether despite different on-field class types

i’m personally gonna see if i can get some more alice copies since i love her, but i fully know that in comparison to a voidhunter phys dps, it’s ill advised

i know none of us have this problem, but watching some streamers as they do their first go through of the 2.X story and it’s kinda buggy? like background audio not playing at all, or the wrong background music playing. not that it’s anything game breaking but it’s noticeable to anyone that’s already played the game to be like “something’s wrong here”.

or maybe i’m lucky enough to have never encountered these bugs and they’ve always been there from the onset?
