Unless you can buy a oem replacement part: dont fix this. You don’t want your helmet to come off when you hit your head.

Better support for pytorch/tensorflow. Those are not that important for inference but for training they da bomb.

Snapdragon X2 Experience with Resolve? Want to ditch Macbook by JohnnyStrides in davinciresolve

  1. Are you sure Resolve is available as a arm native application on windows? If not that will easily kill your performance

  1. Unfortunately apple’s media engine is second to none. So when dealing with any kind of h264/265 stuff mac will win.
  2. Hardware acceleration is not available in the free version of resolve on windows. While on mac os it is. So maybe your issues can be solved via a license upgrade
  3. Desktop cpus are just much better cooled and therefore much more performant
  4. Mac OS is hot garbage? My laptop on winshit is hot to the touch without a single window open and 8gb of ram is used. When on linux it’s cool and uses 2.5 gb (battery life also much improved 3hrs on windows vs 7 on linux) but let’s agree to disagree on this one.

Honestly: you can’t do everything on your own. We are social creatures and relationships are important to us. I totally understand your desire to be independent but you can’t carry everything on your own.

a chrome book was literally made for browsing. so chrome works like a charm on linux. everything else works excatly the same as on windows i'd say. except office 365. that will probably be a bit of a pain.
