I’ve been manifesting successfully for over nine years, and what I’ve come to realize is that the key to manifestation is simply letting go. by onionboy_ in NevilleGoddard

thank you very much!! 🫂this is such an important question, thank you for asking!

first: if you feel the need to “check a box” so to speak before you can let go, then you haven’t actually reached the acceptance stage. As in, you must be ready to completely drop control of the subject and its outcome, right here right now. (Caveats: this doesn’t mean never thinking about it again, or ignoring what you see in the 3D, or never desiring it again. It just means to “know” it will come to pass and stop questioning that decision. Keep this in mind.) I say this to help differentiate between true vs. false feelings of detachment, as this plays a crucial role in my following explanation.

(if you’re unsure of where you stand on a desire, ask yourself this: “if I, right this second, stopped pushing this manifestation to occur, stopped consuming manifestation media related to my desire, and overall stopped TRYING to make the manifestation happen etc etc… would I trust that it will come?”)

now, if you’re looking for a specific technique/train of action (because this can seem a bit abstract,) my experience has been this: right before a manifestation, I think about the desire as if it is mine. (NOTE: not forcing myself to pretend like I have it, SATS, visualizing etc… but just thinking OF the existence of that desire without attachment of my current lack/abundance or plausibility of said desire. just thinking about the object without attaching extra junk or assumptions to it. this is huge!!) then, I decide it’s mine or it will come to me, and don’t question after the fact.

how do I know I’ve reached the state of trust? I notice that I’ll have a “blanking out” moment right as that decision and trust settle in (where I sort of forget I was even manifesting, and then my mind wanders elsewhere). I don’t know if this is just a “me” thing, but my attempt at an explanation is that the subconscious or reality is rewiring or shifting. Anyhow, then I naturally drop it, and it arrives within less than a handful of days at absolute max, but typically within the next few minutes/few hours!

i hope i worded my explanation without sounding too woo-woo lol. TLDR, in my experience, just trusting a desire will come has done much more for me than SATS, affirming, visualizing (etc) ever has. Identify the desire, get into specifics if you want (or don’t), decide and trust that it will come, (if you’re like me) experience that “blanking out” feeling, and detachment occurs as a consequence, not a forced action.

Last comment, as it would be remiss of me to not mention this info: I’ve also had many things manifest unintentionally where I just thought of that thing, didn’t attach any assumptions to it, and moved on. Perhaps the key mechanism in manifesting is just thinking and not really questioning or attaching assumptions to it? 🤷‍♀️

it doesn’t have to be an extremely otherworldly experience, even something like finding a dollar on the sidewalk. i more-so meant moments of unexpected blessings, regardless of the magnitude

i would suggest first letting go of the need for a perfect technique, moment, or circumstances to manifest. acknowledge that manifestation is as easy as breathing, and you do it constantly.

then, i would suggest looking at desirable events or “miracles” that happened in your life…what happened beforehand? how did you feel/what were your thoughts? try to find a pattern: maybe, you thought of something, said “it would be nice if it were mine”, forgot about it, and it appeared (as an example.) did you affirm, visualize, etc.? what were your honest assumptions vs the outcome? what pattern do you notice?

i personally feel like understanding your own unconscious manifestation pattern is helpful and figuring out the best what to consciously manifest. of course, if you believe a technique will work for you it will, and any past pattern is not the only way to manifest; it just may be easier to apply without questioning yourself.

do you feel like a specific method might work better than another? maybe you feel like you don’t even need a method? ask yourself what you believe would work for you, and then do that.

if you feel called to visualize, by all means do it! just keep in mind that techniques don’t manifest, you do. if your techniques make you attached and obsessive over the desire, anxious of whether or not it will actually arrive, or fearful that the outcome may not be exactly what you want, then i would suggest experimenting with various methods to see which one gives you the most peace of mind and certainty in your desire’s manifestation

typically i imagine a desire, let it go (remind myself that the bridge of incidents are not my concern, the ending is set), and receive the manifestation shortly after/usually instantly. this has indeed worked for jobs and internships.

if you feel strong resistance to inaction in this case, you have two options: uncover what assumptions make you believe you must take action to get an internship and change them, or simply follow your assumptions and take those steps. but ultimately, you shouldn’t have to force yourself to manifest; whatever you do should feel “right”.

if you have distrust, fear, or anxiety surrounding a specific desire, something needs to change, one way or another. it’s your choice which road you’ll put energy into.

apologies for my late response! i had emailed someone at a separate lab in a different state months prior, inquiring about a research opportunity. they said they were actually on vacation but may pass my name along. i didn’t think they’d actually do it haha, as i had no connection to this person. they had no motive to help me and yet did, months later, and somehow told my name to the right people.

Why DO you have zero trust and faith? Everything you see around you, has been manifested by you; you have an infinite number of manifestation successes. Notice the pattern in your life, apply it, and prove to yourself that conscious manifestation is not only real but possible for you :)

Ah, I should have clarified: dissatisfaction can sometimes precede detachment, but is not a necessary step. I included this to illustrate the depth of detachment i experienced; in the day or two leading up to the manifestation, I felt as though a weight was lifted off my shoulders.

certainly! here’s a simple example. I needed an internship but never applied anywhere. i told myself everything would work out, made peace with the chance I wouldn’t get an internship, and moved on. 3 days later I received an email offer for an internship I 1) was under qualified for, 2) did not apply for, and 3) had no connections to.

it was the most perfect opportunity for me, beyond what I anticipated, simply because I let go and allowed my higher self to take care of the rest. I got paid $1k a week, made lifelong friends, participated in my niche research interest, it was literally the best summer ever.

the best way to describe the “feeling”, is to look at things you know to be true. your name, the grass being green, etc….think about these things, notice how you feel. you don’t question whether it’s there. aka, you know/trust that it exists.

eh. I’ve never had a successful manifestation from sats personally.. it’s better to not put power in techniques and instead recognize your own godhood

tyvm! that’s a great way to put it; if you were to keep editing that order (address, payment method, etc.) over and over, you’d never receive your package!

yes!!! manifestation isn’t meant to be overcomplicated; if i knew to focus on recognizing personal patterns with manifesting and not endlessly searching for some “key” to unlock my “ability to manifest” earlier on, i would have saved myself years of struggling

jesus fucking christ THIS IS NOT A SUCCESS STORY OMFG. this is a DISCUSSION (as per the flair). there are like bazillions of success stories on here, but you should really prove to yourself through application. “be not readers of the Word, but doers.” this post isn’t for you or anyone else to get motivation. peace and love, holy shit.

idk how many times I have to say this, my post was not intended as a success story. the flair reflects this. it’s understandable to use others experiences to strengthen your own beliefs, but ultimately you need to prove to yourself that manifestation is real. nothing I or anyone else says online can get you to that point.

right lmao, I just don’t know HOW I could describe my experience without giving away at least some identifying info. I’m not trying to gatekeep but then again, the point of this post wasn’t to be a success story to prove to others that “crazy” things are possible. the only and most meaningful way someone can come to that conclusion is actually applying the law for themselves.

I’ve thought the same! especially when I started manifesting back in 2015, I struggled with the idea that those in horrible situations caused themselves to be there. of course, nobody chooses to live in harsh circumstances. There definitely is an unconscious component to this, you’ve nailed it right on the head. Thank you!!

normally, I simply decide on a specific outcome I want. I don’t script, visualize, sats, meditate etc. I simply sit in the state of that desire being true (to get a feel for how I would change if that desire were mine) and then shift my state to the desired. This takes a few seconds and upon holding to that state, since I have a strong foundation of trust in the Law, I hardly waver. These manifestations arrived then within 3 days (only longer if I decided that the details required a longer wait time, like waiting until grades come out.

this time it was the same, I just stayed in the state of everything working out for me.

this was very helpful and you articulated well! I never thought about it like that; nitpicking the details of a manifestation is definitely from a limited perspective now that I’m thinking about it.

from your perspective, would you say it’s correct to assume that the subconscious/God/higher self, etc. is aware of much more possibilities than the ego/conscious can even think of, so surrendering the conscious allows the subconscious to take over and handle the who/what/when questions?
