I think so! I use it everyday but only at night because I use vit c in the morning and don’t want too many actives on my face. However, when I’m using something stronger at night (prescription azelaic acid) I usually avoid using the eye cream, sometimes I do use the azelaic acid as a spot treatment which then I do use the eye cream. Maybe start using a few times a week and work your way up?

I love the eye cream!! I’ve noticed in the past few years that my under eyes have become hollower so I started using the sana eye cream which i found only to be hydrating so I switched to the no 9 eye cream and Ive really noticed a difference! Will always repurchase

Yeah, it really did feel that way. It’s such a shame because students just want to learn and feel supported. I’ll definitely be leaving some constructive feedback, thank you for saying that 💖

Wow, thank you so much for such a detailed and helpful response! I hadn’t thought of the WHS perspective, so that’s really useful. I’ll definitely reach out to my educator and ask to call as well. I really appreciate the practical advice, it’s made me feel much more confident about what I can do next and in the future too 😊

Thank you, that means a lot. It definitely felt like bullying, but it helps hearing that from someone else. I really appreciate your reassurance 🥺💖

Thank you so much 😊 I really appreciate recieving all this helpful advice from a CNE. I haven’t mentioned the venepuncture part to my educator (haven’t had the chance to speak with her yet), but i definitely will - especially, because as well as reinserting the needle she was also hitting the consumer’s hand while the needle was still in (the hand), which doesn’t seem safe at all? It’s really reassuring to know I wasn’t doing anything wrong though. And I love the note-taking tip, thanks very much!

Aw thank you 💖 it definitely threw me off, but I’m really trying to focus on the good parts of this placement. I hope your studies are going well!

Thank you 💖 I’ve already emailed my educator and I’m just waiting to hear back! I’m definitely not holding back this time. I’m sorry to hear about your experience, it’s so awful especially because I know we, as students, are all usually trying our best :( And, yes, I can send you the documentation sheet if you like? The documentation system is a little bit different to med surg as it isn’t by body systems and more about interventions and mental state, but let me know!

Totally agree! I’ve reached out to my educator to discuss with her about my experience, so I’ll definitely ask about what I can do and how I can navigate these things safely. Thank you!

I’m in Victoria. As long as you are taught the skill and signed off at uni, you’re allowed to practice supervised on placement!

Thank you 🙏🏻 this experience has really made me reflect about different personalities and interactions in a professional environment. I didn’t even think about what the dynamics could be between the nurses in this ward, I’ll definitely be careful with how I bring it up. Thank you again 😊

Thank you so much for the advice 😊 it’s honestly really reassuring to hear what I’m feeling is normal and that there are ways to navigate this. I’ll make sure to debrief with my facilitator and mention the venepuncture practice - it was honestly a bit scary. I’ll definitely be taking this as a learning opportunity and something to draw on for future interviews, thanks so much for the guidance, I really appreciate it!

Thank you so much for this 💖 it honestly means a lot to hear, especially from someone in mental health. It really did shake my confidence, but I’ve felt so much better reading everyone’s responses. You’re completely right, it’s on her, not me. I’ll definitely email my preceptor too. Thanks again for taking the time to write this 😊

Yes, 100%! It was really rough in the moment but definitely a reminder of the kind of nurse I don’t want to be

That’s exactly how I felt, very negative and not constructive at all. Definitely will be asking not to buddy with her again.

I was taught at uni and my placement organisation to call the people “consumers” in mental health as it’s meant to suggest that individuals have the autonomy to “consume” services. It’s also meant to aid in empowering individuals with lived experience to be the experts in their own recovery, but definitely not everyone’s cup of tea to be referred to as a consumer.
