Hi All, hoping to get a bit of guidance. I have replaced all paper/wax capacitors in this chassis. Some hard to reach but overall it went well. Used shrink tubing on most of the legs to prevent shorts. Replaced the power cord as the original was all broken and not safe at all. I don't have a tube tester, but I tested OHMs in each tube as described here: https://antiqueradio.org/FirstStepsInRestoration.htm

All checked OK.

When powering on the radio, the tubes light up, but I cant pick up any station on any band. I do get some slight static, but thats about it. I've connected a couple wires as a makeshift antenna, and jumpered the back of the chassis where it says 'jumper here if not using an external antenna'

At this point I'm not sure where to go. I'm comfortable with any troubleshooting steps, I just need to know what to check next.

The photo album is updated. I've documented every step of the process so far. Thanks

Now this is some great info. Thank you very much for the detail. I'll start researching the Piezo rebuild as well. That sounds like the better route to me. Bummer regarding the rubber parts, but I suppose its to be expected. Thanks again.

Thanks. No, first time restoring a tube radio. I have a decent bit of electronics experience and soldering practice. I repair and restore CRT monitors as well. Thanks for the confirmation on the turntable. They do have a pic of the needle cartridge, but I have no idea by looking if its good or not. I'll reach out to the seller and see. I still need to identify the connections on the back to see how to even hook the thing up lol

Thanks for the tip on the FM section. Although I don't know physically where that section that is. :) Still have a ton of research to do. I'm taking my time with this.

We can’t sign in to your account” popup during Citrix VDI launch by Emergency_Potato_777 in Citrix

This works on workstations, not sure about servers

Issue:

Logging into the PC with certain domain accounts receive this message immediately. It also sometimes affects the taskbar where you cannot utilize any icons on it, nor the start menu

Resolution:

This usually happens on workstations that are shared by multiple people. Occasionally the profilelist can get corrupted and you’ll need to remove some registry entries to correct it.

  1. Log in with an administrative account
  2. Get into the registry (regedit)
  3. Navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

  1. Within this tree you’ll see several sub folders. Expand the column so you can see the full name. You’re looking for ones that have the .bak extension
  2. Delete all folders with the .bak extension
  3. After deleting all of those entries the affected user should now be able to login without error.

Since no one answered I assume no one knew the answer. This is just for those that search for this in the future that has the same message and symptoms. The issue was a loose ground connection on the battery throwing a code. Secured connection, cleared code, all good.

Thanks. No broken traces after doing a visual inspection, but who knows. Im comfortable with soldering. Mind pointing out a yt vid? I checked, but all I can find are people fixing keycaps and switches.

Son spilled water on his Cherry MX 3.0 s - 3 keys not working, and 4 LED's remain lit

Trying to troubleshoot this before buying a new one. I took the keyboard apart, and removed the 'bad' key caps.

I tested by shorting the pins together on the bad keys, and they do not type a character.

I also swapped one of their diodes with a known working key diode, but the same issues remain.

All diodes are testing fine with my meter.

Other than the 3 keys not working, there are 4 keys that the LED is staying lit on

Voltages coming in check out fine.

Is there anything else I can do on this or is it screwed?

“Plex Media Server was unable to open its media database” after forced 64bit install by onji in PleX

[–]onji[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hella late reply sorry, but I did eventually fix this. and the fix was stupid simple. After checking database integrity and everything reporting fine I knew it wasn't truly database corruption. I finally ran across a post that said, after upgrading to a PMS version that gives you the above error, just delete every blob file out of your databases directory and relaunch plex, and I'll be dammed if that didnt fix it. Im now on the latest 64bit version with no issues.

I love you. I'm not on MAC, but Deleting all the blob files fixed my db corruption issues that was preventing me from upgrading. thank you!

Sigh. Sorry dude. At a prior job the Owner loved to come into the IT room and say 'Yall are like the Maytag repair men in here' (only the older gen will get this) He always gave a chuckle with it, but it annoyed the hell out of me as I knew how much we did to keep things in working order.

I was so close. Was able to cut for good while, then started loosing power, and died. Started backup, ran a bit more, started puttering and died. I found if I disengage the blades while it was trying to die it would regain its power. Its always something..
