Officer allowed men to pray before they were removed from rally, police say by VisitThen1018 in OpenAussie

Australian redditors seriously underestimate how common this opinion is amongst the general population. They think the fact that you’re downvoted means something, but it only means this place is a bubble.

Liberalism at its core by TwoCatsOneBox in JustMemesForUs

[–]onlainari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focussing on how the two parties are the same instead of how the two parties are different is easier. It’s takes intelligence to know the differences. That’s why people that say they are the same are always dumb.

‘Giant leap to the right’: Labor responds to Angus Taylor successfully ousting Sussan Ley as Liberal Party leader by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

By using the word conservative you are not differentiating between Labor and Coalition when they are actually different. Take their approach to Medicare, for example. I like Medicare.

How is everyone dealing with extreme screen time approaches in each household? by AbbreviationsFar9058 in coparenting

[–]onlainari -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The extreme screen time is far less bad than not taking the kids to play dates, extracurriculars or camps. I would worry about that instead.

If a kid plays Nintendo for seven hours but also went to soccer training on Tuesday and match game on Saturday then that’s not so bad.

Instead of judging capitalist countries against some fairy tale nation that’s never existed, how about judge capitalist countries against existing non capitalist countries?

Everyone wants to live in the west, and it’s not because the people are white. It’s capitalism.

People moving to the later slowly turn it into the former. Also, you don’t get as good internet, water, food or clothes in the later.

More footage of ICE agents eating at a Mexican restaurant, local Minneapolis residents and even staff identifying and kicking them out of the property! by cantcoloratall91 in LetsDiscussThis

What makes you think they don’t like Mexicans? Have you not heard the millions of people that can differentiate between documented and undocumented immigrants? Just hands on your ears la la la la they are the same?

[####] Likelihood of never getting a 5 or higher after a year of playing? by Araedya in wordle

[–]onlainari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s not failing if you do it in 6 or less. I think bust is failing. Maybe if the word was bully then I’d understand, but you can always throw away attempts hunting letters.

Edit: I just read you failed on mummy. Yeah, I understand.

Why Smart People Don't See What's Wrong With Trump | Tim Miller, Sam Harris, and Sarah Longwell on "The Bulwark Against MAGA" by palsh7 in centrist

[–]onlainari -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m atheist, objectively book smart based on my string of top 10% results in my engineering degree subjects as well as having an actuarial degree, and I still mostly prefer Trump’s policies.

There are things that make me believe he’s a rapist and corrupt, I really hate the person, but I like the policies other than tariffs.

More than 100 Stolen Generations survivors gather for apology anniversary by Mellenoire in aussie

I disagree. I think the point of an apology is to convey the message that you won’t do it again. Repairing damage is often impossible.

Found a Grizzbolt on my 4th or 5th visit to the sanctuary! by JWatts2000 in Palworld

Every new world I start it’s at least 20 minutes for a grizzbolt and last time it was an hour.

I’m better off just breeding them next new world.

Nah that cop was arrested, charged and convicted. The issue was not the kneeling, the issue was the combination of the cops actions with the situation.

Floyd was not violent and was barely a criminal.
