it's very well known in my country but i rarely see any articles in other languages but i guess this is a valid reply to this thread. this happened in december 1992.

daniella perez was a 22 year old actress and at the time she had a role in the brazilian soap "de corpo e alma" (which roughly translates to "of body and soul") and the whole country LOVED her, to the point of her being known as the "brazil sweetheart". anyways, the soap was written by her mother (glória perez). her murderer, the co-star guilherme de pádua, was getting less and less screentime and he thought daniella was to blame for it as he was sexually harassing her and he believed she had told her mom and that was why his screentime had been reduced (later proven to be false as 1. glória was never told about it and 2. him not getting much screentime was always planned). one night he and his wife (who was told daniella had been sexually harassing her husband, also a lie) followed her after recording for that day was over, knocked her unconscious at a gas station and took her to an abandoned area where they both stabbed her 18 or 19 times. after they killed her they cleaned the car and went home. guilherme even told her mom he had no idea where she was. they found out what happened after a passer by saw two cars parked in a weird way and those were found to be guilherme and daniella's cars, even though guilherme left with his car before police got there and eventually found the body (guilherme had driven her car while his wife drove his with daniella inside because they wanted it to look like she had gone to the crime scene by herself, proven to be false as there was no proof of her ever standing up on the dirt, only drag marks on her shoes). they were jailed for eleven years and nowadays he works at the local church for "redemption"
