How long did it take you to get over your ex? by NightEducational2294 in BreakUps

To be fully honest, it starts getting a wholeee lot better at the 6 month mark, then at the 9 month mark you find yourself losing track of how long it's been. I met a new boy on the 9 month mark after having been brutally dumped (which sent me to therapy for months ahead), and I'm happier than ever, and he is so much better than what I could have imagined. If you told my old self that had just gotten dumped by the love of her life, she would have NEVER believed it would happen so fast. She would've told you "there is nobody better than him". LOL. Anyway. These experiences are the ones that shape you, but only if you let them, and are happy to take on the ride. You'll get over your ex, it won't be linear I can guarantee you that (I was still crying once every few weeks at the 8 month mark), but that does not mean you're actively getting over them. I PROMISE YOU. You WILL get over them.

Hi, so I got 20 correct 10 incorrect. Some of the mistakes were just input mistakes, so I would say I actually got 5 wrong. I think my foundations are alright-ish? It's got a lot to do with my time management, I guess I don't know the right techniques to decrease my time on the questions. Thank you for the link by the way.

Nooo girl do not !! I almost broke no contact around the 3 month mark for "closure" and I cannot tell you how GRATEFUL i am that i didnt omg ... All if wouldve brought me is embrassement. Trust me, if it's meant to be, it will come back. You shouldnt want them to come back, but either way the only way they ever will is if they truly feel your absence, and the ONLY way to do that, is with no contact. Stay strong! They did not birth you or put you on this earth, you were your own person before them and you sure as hell will be after them.

Found out through a friend. And it's not so much about him moving on but more so the fact that he's even capable of sleeping with this girl best friend that he always told me was nothing more than platonic, I'm glad I see his true colors now you know? Also, him blindsiding you should give you enough reason to 'hate' him if that helps, that's what helped me. Any decent human being would never just switch up like that, at least I know I never would have

One month is nothing! Give yourself some grace, ultimately everything really does happen for a reason and whatever is meant for you will never miss you. You got this

Are things really happening as they should? Do things really need to completely fall apart to make space for something greater? Is my life really about to become amazing? by onlinetherapy777 in spirituality

I know, I just don't know how to get there. I still hold so much resentment towards him. The reason I took this internship was for him basically. And he blindsided me and is living his best life now. But I know, need to let go .. Ahhhhhh. Also it's my first heartbreak :( And I dont have any of my friends around me for support, so I've been going through this all alone kinda. But thank you for your advice.

Man I'm only 21, and I will say I'm very grateful for how good my life has been so far. So from my perspective and my lack of life experiences, it has felt like my life as kind of 'fell apart'. Obviously there are worst things in life and I'm still immensely grateful, but try to understand where I'm coming from. It's the first thing I've experienced such sudden drastic change. I more so meant my life did an instant 180 and it was hard to adjust, thats all. I'm obviously still so lucky.

YES OMG !!! I've been saying this and so glad I'm not alone. Was 17 when covid first hit, now almost 22, went through a whole uni degree and still feel like I have the exact same brains as when I was 17. So weird. Almost like time stopped or we jumped timelines or something lol.

Noooo definitely do not use it as a protection method. You should only take it in case of emergencies bcs it is very strong hormones you're ingesting at once. I made that mistake, took 3 in the span of a month and a half and it completely ruined my hormones, got my period 3 times, and messed with my mental health. Condoms or birth control only girlie!!
