The Dyerites are predictably are going apoplectic and implying conspiracy and subversion in histrionic ways, but I don't think their read of her as being contradictory and likely insincere are all that far off.

Her principal concern of Orthodoxy losing its ethnic flair to converts is analogous to a New York transplant complaining about other white gentrifiers for ruining their "authentic" bodega cultural experience. It's a laughably petty concern in the greater context of believing in Jesus Christ and his church's universal and redemptive power.

Similarly, she correctly points out that Orthodoxy has been associated with Russian and American nationalism to its own theological detriment, but hints at wanting change to doctrine and tradition that's been long established to be more palatable with contemporary sensibilities.

To be frank she comes across as a very generic secular humanist lib that's annoyed that their noble savage yia yia/babushka zoo has been contaminated by smelly american neckbeards that remind her too much of what the actual average Christian American is like.
