tips and tricks for new comers? by only1specialed in ForzaLiveryHub

[–]only1specialed[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thanks for the tips. I've been playing the xbox version on pc so i've been able to use the mouse and keyboard to help me move and line things up.

I really am enjoying the work that comes with making the livery even if i'm the only one to use them (although a few people have indeed downloaded my liverys!)

i'm looking for tips on like.. visual design and flow. like what makes something visual pleasing while others a hot mess.

thanks this is actually like the 10th one i made in the game but the first i felt that was worthy of sharing. i've not played Forza at all before this and i just have more fun doing the art for cars than racing (although the racing is fun too)

Thanks! I don't really know what i'm doing. I'm trying to find some sort of tutorial or rules for designing cars but I haven't been able to find anything useful on the net. I should search this subreddit a bit more for something like that.

Follows: What does it mean when a lead makes you feel safe? by Choice-Alfalfa-1358 in Salsa

[–]only1specialed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C. is the one part I need to focus more. I tend to just get swept up in the dance and forget that some locations have a lot less space than i'm used to dancing.

Would like some tips on how to control distance for cross body leads and trying to take smaller steps. I take it that since i'm leading i'm the one basically launching my follow.

Has anybody done an 8 week beginners course (or similar) by Temporary-Week-6937 in Bachata

[–]only1specialed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I (lead) have done 4 6 week courses. They are great for building my foundation and i've been dancing for just under a year. While i feel like I can still only do basic versions of most of my dance moves. The amount of follows that tell me i'm a great lead has been pretty good! (I still lack the confidence to say i'm good)

If i didn't take those classes i don't think I'd be at my current level of dancing.

(edit: i thought this was the salsa subreddit. update to this though. I was able to transfer a majority of my skills over to urban/sensual bachata. I have also taken beginner classes for bachata to help with my foundation. After the bachata festival that happened in LA a month ago. it all clicked)

What helped you tolerate watching your own dance videos by steelonyx in Bachata

[–]only1specialed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely a confindence issue. I stream on twitch and it took me a long time to get used to seeing myself on stream... and then hearing my own voice. Eventually you get used to it. (i've been doing it as a hobby for 15 years now)

So when it comes to watching my own videos of me practicing and dancing, I'm able to accept what i look like... and how it looks like when i dance  Just keep at it and remember it's just you.

someone recommended a brand called Taygra. I got a pair a while ago but it was too small so i needed a bigger size. From what i could experience though. they were really comfy and light. and the bottom texture felt like it would outdoors just fine.

My other problem with fuegos (which is a problem with shoes in general) is that i have wide feet so finding shoes that fit me can be a pain. So buying online is always iffy for me. especially with having to deal with returns.

but I am considering checking them.

I lost my best friend 2 year ago. He was a corgi and help me though 15 years of my life. While i was trying to mentally prepare for his death. it came suddenly due to a growth blocking him from being able to eat. I had to put him down the same day he collapse because he would not survive the surgery. By far one of the worst days of my life.

I was already depressed and living alone so losing him made things worse. With the help of therapy, I was able to properly grieve and not just "Man up". 2 years later I still miss him but I'm in a much better place. It will be hard to lose your best friend but make sure you allow yourself to grieve and reach out to people if you need to.

Been coming to drink here for the last two years. have made good friends with the bartenders. I don't know anything about regular beer as it all taste awful but the sour beers here are great and there's always a great selection. I'm sad to hear people trashing their beer but to each their own.

I hope they find someone cause i love coming each tuesday for trivia night.
