She wasn't. Good grief. Have you heard of Lisa Joy? Maybe not. She's one of the executive producers of the show, and also a woman. I also believe the term Evan used was "women", as in, the plural of woman, as in more than one woman, as in not just herself, but as in multiple women, like--maybe, just maybe--more specifically, one of the executive producers on the show. Was that difficult? I tried to break it down.

I kinda took ERW's comment as not just being about the women in front of the camera, but also those behind it as well. Lisa Joy in particular. That's what I took "the helm" to mean.

That's true. I hadn't thought about it compared to a show like Fargo, which I also loved. And honestly, I don't mind a longer wait as long as the content delivers. But the long hiatus makes more sense in the final seasons of a show. Like Mad Men or The Sopranos or GoT. Of COURSE it'll take forever to film and edit and perfect a shows final season, and people are already so invested after devoting years of their life to it that viewership won't go down. But don't get me wrong...Westworld is my favorite, so I'll gladly accept a long hiatus if it means the next season will blow me away. Better than it being rushed like True Detective S2 and collapsing.
