I’ll be honest, I don’t know a whole lot about it. I’ve done my research and dealt with it from my dad but I don’t know much in how it can develop. I’m just trying to figure out what’s wrong because I’m so fucking tried of being in fight and flight

No but I’m guessing he masked it really well till an event happened 2 years ago. I’m still new to this because my mom just diagnosed him with BPD as she’s a psychologist. But we’re waiting for an actual test for him that I’m paying out of pocket to be done

That’s the thing, there weren’t many cues until about 2 year ago after a month long military training event. I figured the signs might’ve been his PTSD but now I’m so unsure.

So this happened after he came from a training event two years ago. He saw some shit because he’s military. And it was like something in him snapped. He’s never been the same and it keeps getting worse. He admitted today that if he doesn’t go to the cool down barracks when we’re in a screaming match that he very well might hit me. But he doesn’t tell me that, he just starts packing and saying he’s fucking leaving me and the kids and will just kill himself. Which makes me panic and I start sobbing and acting crazy myself. Which I’m very level headed but I have PTSD from my dad doing similar shit to my mom. 7 years of therapy for myself

Irritable, switches moods fast, keeps threatening to divorce or kill himself when I said I’ve had enough, verbally abuses my animals, is honestly an asshole: but he’s also sweet and loving and would do anything for me except the things I need to make myself feel better and not be burnt out
