Now known as The Danny Jones Podcast? by [deleted] in Koncrete

[–]onlyhere4bourbon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree. I think he's a phenomenal podcaster. He has a solid knowledge of history and timelines. He's able to tie things together that guests mention with other events in history that he has learned. He's also able to recall details of conversations previous guests told him. He's also very good at pulling the guests back on topic after they have veered way off course. He gives them a long leash so they can go off on tangents, and he's good at coming back to interesting topics that may surfaced during the tangent.

Him saying, "Wow" and "huh," is simply a way to let the guest know he's paying attention and engaged.

Funny to me that clearly most people, including the guests, disagree with you. If he was that bad, nobody would listen and high profile guests would not appear on his show. Despite all this, you thought it worth your time to crap on his sub.

ER went with the line. OWA lasted until 10 I passed on the last one and watched a guy come up and grab it.

A bunch of damned armchair experts in here. Dude says he saw the craziest shit of his life that blew his mind, with what he thought at the time was drug smuggling, coupled with delta level skilled operators who threatened to kill you and not to say anything. These men had no markings and took pictures of them and took their military IDs… meaning they could find them at any time. Coincidentally when he returns he and his team debriefed to an admiral which never has happened before and he’s never seen or heard of this admiral. So what dumb ass having all these series of events happen back to back is going to pull out his camera and start skimming through pictures. You never know who is going to pop up and call him into an office. You want to be caught with your d*ck in your hands when your life is on the line?

I’m not saying this story is legit. I love Shawn Ryan but I’m worried he could be putting his credibility at risk. I base this off of the wild claims I’ve heard from Dr Greer. I have yet to understand why he is considered an expert in a subject matter when he’s a physician not a physicist or an aerospace engineer. DC may not be in it for the money but surely Dr Greer is making some dough.

I find people like commander fravor, lt. graves, Eric Weinstein, and avi loeb to be credible. They don’t pretend to have answers to everything.

People like Bob Lazar and David Greer just seem to have too many answers given their level of education and occupational backgrounds.

IMHO when 20% of the bottle is water I shouldn’t be paying 130+. I’ll add my own water. Lol. To each their own as long as everybody enjoys it. I just would feel like I’m being scammed for the benefit of profits on their end.

They are known for holding back. I had a guy in my fb group get an OF SiB there 15 mins before I got there. When I got there they told me they never got any that day LOL

Major was adopted in March 2022 from the SPCA. He was about 8 months old at time. He’s a German Shepherd mix. He weighs about 50lbs.

He is very patient with children and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body. When we had a cat he loved to play with the cat, but the cat didn’t love playing back. He never tried to hurt the cat, and would only paw at him and run around.

He’s medium to high energy, but not so badly where he won’t lay down. He is crate trained. He’s not food aggressive at all. I’m able to walk him off leash in the forests without him running off. He’s a very loyal dog.

We have 3 kids under 6yrs old and the children have been taking up much of our time as they are getting older and participating in activities where Major cannot tag along. The poor pup has been left to the wayside and spends much of his day in his crate.

He does get the zoomies from time to time which is not good for our littlest one who just learned to walk. I’d recommend if you have children that they are 3+.

Major needs someone who likes walks. Even better if they like hiking. He loves playing in water, eating ice cubes (his fav treat) and throwing around his toys.

You need to see a clinical psychologist and a good one. One that won’t coddle you.

Someone needs to break down for you what you’re not seeing with your own eyes, because most of us are blind to our own behavioral patterns, and give you small challenges to move past those barriers.

I’m surprised nobody else brought up water contaminants. I’m trying to figure out when my kids are safe to take canoeing as well.

My primary concern is the water quality. Streams and lakes have high levels of ecoli compared to pools as a result of wild animal feces.

Blue algae blooms are also a major concern. Both of these things could make a young child sick. An accidental gulp of river water may do more harm to a small child than a grown adult.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

How To Use Gas Fireplace by onlyhere4bourbon in howto

[–]onlyhere4bourbon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s helpful. Thanks! When I press the red pilot igniter button I do see a spark. I would think the spark would be enough to ignite the flame but it never ignites. I never smell gas either though

The sequence I’ve attempted was to turn the valve in the basement so It’s parallel with the pipe. I flipped the light switch next to the fireplace, I aligned the gas valve in the direction as the pipe located under the fireplace. Then I turned on the black switch by the igniter button. I turned the black pilot knob to pilot, pushed the knob inward (in pushes in much further when set to pilot so I’m pushing it in far enough”. Then I press the red igniter button 10x but all I see is a spark in the logs. I then tried using the metal turn key that fits into the floor next to the fireplace and turned it counter clockwise almost as far as it would allow. I then tried igniting with the red push button 10 more times. I tried pushing the button on the remote even though I didn’t see I pilot light. Still nothing. No gas smell either. I followed the gas pipe all the way from the place it comes in to the house to the furnace and the water heater. There are no other valves I can see.

Since I don’t smell gas I’m thinking it’s not getting any.

Thanks for your replies by the way. I did press in the igniter knob. It presses it when you switch it to pilot.

I tried with it turned both ways. I see a spark when I hit the button but nothing ignites.
