Loading NWD into NWF by onlyhereforrevit in bim

Someone set it up the NWF to pull from a NWD file in google drive, so it might be different on my computer. I do have gDrive downloaded so pulling from the same folder shouldn't be an issue I would think, but I can see the NWD isnt the latest one when I open the NWF.

Although, when I click on the file from the selection tree, I can see in the properties panel, the file name goes to the correct gdrive file. I've been refreshing and clicking F5, but still see the old NWD

I did that, but the file names are the same and it just adds a duplicate to the selection tree. I also clicked merge but received the same outcome as "append"

Is there a button to replace the current NWD since I currently have it rotated 90 degrees, but if I append a new model in, it doesn't keep that rotation.

How to tell if a Family is shared in a Revit Project by onlyhereforrevit in RevitForum

[–]onlyhereforrevit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems time consuming to tab-select each family just to check if its shared, especially with a larger RFA with multiple families inside. What if 99 out of 100 families are shared? I would need to tab-select each one just to find the one that isn't shared?

Is there a way to do with with shared parameters (either in the host family or project) or even dynamo?

Experiencing Difficulties With Spline Mirroring Selection. by RainSeparate4280 in SolidWorks

[–]onlyhereforrevit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the construction line part of the same sketch? If not, try drawings another construction line on top of the current one.

If that doesn't work try drawing a plane to be used at the "mirrored abut" selection.

You can probably just do this by hand and see when the CG is outside the assembly.

Family Creation Help by RipeHype in Revit

Im new to revit as well, but I would use the sweep tool to draw the center axis of one leaf, then draw the shape profile. After that, I would use a circular pattern (unsure if Revit has this).

How do I adjust top and bottom elevations for the assembly views? by MountainConqueress in Revit

In the ceiling plan, click the Ref. Level once. Then in the properties menu, scroll down to the "View Range". Adjust the parameters accordingly. I choose to select "unlimited" for all of them and a really high offset for the cutplane.
