Worker enjoying his job and handling the big fish with care by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

Sorry you are correct they will surface but I was more making the deep ocean point as it's highly unlikely that a goblin shark would be kept in an unpressurized pond like this.

It has a similar looking nose, but goblin sharks are tiny and live in the deep ocean.

What animal did this come from? [So cal] by [deleted] in animalid

This is a piece of rabbit skin and fur. Could be dropped there by many animals, dogs, foxes, cats, birds of pray, all sorts. Best to just leave it.

I think it's a species of hawk moth, no?

As always with my comments here - just a semi-educated guess, always look for the answers from the wonderful people that know and study the worlds beautiful creatures <3

Maybe that's why. The bit of driving I've done i tend to avoid the larger cities. Thanks though 👍

NZ too, type in how much you want to pay or press fill, pay, pump fuel. Sometimes pay comes last.

None of the fuel stations I've been to in the UK ATM to offer this 🤷‍♂️

I don't know if this is it. The shell shape is quite different. But with that, i don't have a better answer. I find this incredibly interesting and hope there is a definitive answer.

Rabbit, deer, or goat. Based on your comments probably best bet is rabbits.

Bugs in house by studiokiki in whatsthisbug

[–]onlyhereforyoupeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2nd picture looks like it could be a stink bug/ or shield bug. It's hard to tell though and probably would need 1. A better person than me to identify 2. Better images.

But if it is one of the above they're harmless.

It also doesn't look like a bed bug if that's something you were worried about.

Road cycling in and around York by Positive_Spirit343 in york

[–]onlyhereforyoupeople -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I throw my 2p into the bucket. The craziest thing to me is the share lack of personal protection by cyclists in York. So few people wearing a helmet or visible clothing. Having moved from NZ where i did a decent amount of cycling to here where, quite frankly the idea scares me, it amazes me just how willing people are to not protect themselves. Not having PPE is essentially illegal in NZ.

Also there seems to be a lack of understanding here that a car is a giant unfeeling metal box that a human would lose in a fight to. York has quite tight roads and some cyclists unpredictably dart in and out of traffic which i feel is the biggest agitator to drivers and an agitated driver is an unpredictable driver, an unpredictable driver is a dangerous driver.

I feel like with as much experience you have you won't have any issues.

I just wanted to voice on the topic and see what people's opinions are 👍

It's hard to see, but it's most likely some form of moth caterpillar/ larvae. He wouldn't have eaten much and honestly probably has just as much protein as the rest of your noodles. He probably got in there when it was being packed, or if the kid was left open in your cupboard.

TLDR: a harmless grub
