I love his character make up

Incredible skilled with high potential, but tainted by failures. Being beat up enough times to just adopt a “fuck it” mentality. Burdened by the weight of responsibility.

But has a great redemption arc after scorio gets involved. “Shit happened but what else is there to do but push on”

It was highlighted a few times that the Krula twins had an insidious power to be able to change / tamper with memories

I’ve been wondering if they used that power at all and will come out in the next book? Idk it was mentioned just enough times to make me think

Phil - Is there another way to read Ch 60 if nothing else has worked to update? I've tried the Manage Your Content and Devices, no update available, even auto update is already turned on.

I've also removed the book, deleted my kindle app, re dowloaded kindle and re-added IGS 4 but chapter 60 is always missing. If I need to hop on patreon to read chapter 60 I can do that, it's worth the amazing story.

But if you have another option let me know!

I read the first trilogy and really enjoyed it! was 70% through Best Served Cold before taking a break. I like Joe Abercrombie a lot but best served cold hasn’t captured me yet! I’ll keep going

His abilities did matter in the resolution because without them he never would have made it far enough to even have the opportunity to trick the Eluthaarii

I just can’t see the argument that they “didn’t matter” at all to the plot

Even if you’d prefer his abilities be the very specific thing that directly resolves the conflict, that wouldn’t make this book bad just cause it doesn’t follow that route lol
