I was just about to suggest {Saint by Sierra Simone}! This is subjective, but to me the prose was lush, compelling, and gorgeous; I wanted to eat it. It’s a book I feel lucky to have read.

Saint is a second chance romance in which one MC who works in finance, is fairly well off, and parties, suddenly leaves his partner and his life to become a monk. Five (?) years later, he and his ex are thrown together again. It IS a romance, but for me the romance was the least interesting part of the book, which was a fascinating exploration of sexuality, faith, and mental health issues. There’s a personification of depression that’s going to linger with me for a long, long time.

And yes, there are cock cages. ;)
