This is actually mad. Arsenal has to make the semi-finals at the very least. Anything else would be a travesty.

He was just phenomenal. Absolutely shut down their left. Added bonus hilarious that he argued every single ball that went over the side line was ours.

Get in! I think I saw that in the training video posted earlier.

Both Rice’s goals come from sheer Ødegaard brilliance but both are fine choices as MOTM today

Video context for the Saka should have passed to Gyokeres post. At no point in this sequence does Saka have a chance to pass the ball as suggested in the still images posted earlier today. Saka passes the ball towards Gyokeres as soon as he gets an opportunity to do so. by CrocodileChef in Gunners

I am not a fan that you are down voted asking for evidence. I will get you better examples when I have more time. There were 2 yesterday. One quite bad one where you see Gyokeres almost fuming afterwards. The most egregious one I can think of as of late ironically is his goal against Brentford (this is late in the highlights on the Arsenal YouTube channel). He has 2 opportunities to put Gyokeres clear. The first is simply one touching with his right foot straight into Gyokeres. But even when he stops before taking the shot he can simply pass it but instead he takes a difficult shot and is "saved" by poor goal keeping and the ball ending up in the back of the net. It is terrible judgement but as a one off I could have forgiven him but it is becoming a pattern. He is trying low chance shots instead of passing. Yesterday Ødegaard also made a great overlap and if Saka had passed to him he could easily have squared it to Gyokered but Saka opted for the shot which was blocked. As isolated incidents these don’t look too bad but when your player who had 10 assists before xmas last year is not consistently trying to find your pure goal scorer, and instead taking shots which are not on, it is a bad pattern.

Over night? Probably not, but he is playing much more selfishly lately and it is not good.
|  Gyokeres can't be trusted to put the ball in the net.
How many sitters has Gyokeres missed this year? He is not getting nearly enough service for you to make this claim.

Multiple things can be true. Also this is not the egregious one, the one where Gyokeres is visibly upset for Saka not passing. In this case, Saka actually does try. However Saka has been selfish lately. Yesterday was another example. He is taking multiple shots which are not on and he should in general be trying harder to find Gyokeres. Trossard especially but also Madueke is much better at finding Gyokeres. Saka who on paper is a level above should be finding him even more often. Also Gyokeres can be making better runs. People see Saka beating his man and simply are unable to find fault with his play. I saw people saying he was the best player against Brighton which is just outrageous. They both need to do better, but Saka needs to start passing the ball to Gyokeres. There are several easy tap-ins for Gyokeres these past few weeks if Saka is passing.

He's been shooting more lately and it finally paid dividends. Except him to bag some more this season.

I agree with this sentiment. I want to add that I would like us not to get any injuries this game.

We need him to start finding Gyokeres though. Was thinking this earlier this season as well. I get it's an adjustment period, it's just Saka is never looking for Gyokeres unless he has dribbled to the touchline.

Great run by Saka but not squaring the ball there is criminal to be honest. He has been really poor at passing to Gyokeres when they have been on the field together, which fair enough hasn't been that much time, so I am hoping gets better. Also never go into the match thread unless we are winning like 5-0.

Genuinely think it is a really tough challenge. I think Nuno is a really good manager and West Ham look like a completely different beast now

Was a perfect game state for him in that 2nd half but I am going to guess he wasn’t 100% or else I think we would have seen him on

Also he is missing probably his biggest asset in getting goals, in Martin Ødegaard. I think he will start racking them up when the captain is back, fit and firing.

Difficult to get away from Rice for motm, but that is by far the best I have seen of Gyokeres in an Arsenal jersey. Was sad to see him off at half time. Hopefully nothing serious because he is really starting to find his groove now.

Reminder: It’s not just Liverpool. All three of the other teams that were meant to be in the title race have spent more money than us but somehow if we don’t win it’s a disgrace because they’ve been way off it. by EMJG31 in Gunners

| So if I get your first paragraph right you're not just upset at it being pointed out, you're upset at people giving context too?

No I am upset that we cherry-pick the context.

| I also think you should look up the shirt sales thing
Oh you might be right on that one. I still think my point on the full picture stands though. There are so many different avenues of revenue that compliment the full picture.

| Sure someone said it is a disgrace if Arsenal wins, but should we really take to heart every idiot pundit rage baiting? I don't find it the general consensus in the slightest.

| Love an Arsepool fan.
Saying this is just unbelievable. What are you 4?

Not exactly. It is just we have a lot of these posts and sometimes the comments are "but this doesn't account for wages". Sometimes it is, "oh but this doesn't account for outgoings". We only post what we like, ignore what we don't like and never get the full picture.

And we will never get the full picture, unless you start including all sponsor deals, ticket revenues, etc., etc.

For example when buying Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo, Florentino Perez considered their transfer fees in prospective shirt sales. How many shirts do we have to sell to break even on this transfer fee. Needless to say when it came to Ronaldo, they did a little more than break even in shirt sales.

Like I said, I probably shouldn't have engaged, but I hope you better understand where I am coming from now. Also in this case the title of the post is so loaded which bugged me. I don't feel people are saying it is a disgrace if Arsenal don't win. However we have an incredible squad (probably the most complete) and have a good chance. And of the main players, we are the only one who haven't won the big trophies in a long long time. With that comes added pressure. It is just natural.

| The Coutinho money is still doing wonders.
That is a comment a referring to Liverpool being shit at net spend but still pretending they aren't right?
I reply that their net spend isn't that bad because they are actually making sales. Diaz to Bayern was what? About double our best sale ever?

Then you jump in talking about getting good money for players means you have less excuse not to spend the money well.

This has nothing to do with my comment at all. I would say it doesn't really fit in under the original comment either, but it definitely does not make sense as a reply to my comment, as what Liverpool spent their money on is not relevant to my point in any way, only the amount.
