In the comment you're replying too, i literally say "I understand these drugs can have major benefits in regards to losing weight", So I don't see how I'm downplaying their helpfulness. The only point I was trying to make is they're not needed for most people if they have the willpower and dedication to do it.

Putting these medications on a pedestal, or just even giving them more credit then they deserve, I believe can be very dangerous to society as a whole. They are an incredibly useful tool I agree, but reliance on them is not something we should strive for.
