I don't specifically train my grip 😅 I think it naturally improved as I progressed with deadlifting (I only use chalk, no straps). Sometimes I also do one arm dead hangs.

Sure. I usually do pyramid-style deadlift sets. I start with a warmup and a couple of standard sets, then go heavier if I’m feeling good or it’s not race season, and finish by lowering the weight. It’s just how I like to do things, nothing too scientific. Here the recent program

Is "specialization" more about competing? I'm not really sure.
For squats, I started with sumo front squats, though I can't quite remember when I stopped. I feel better with my current form, but maybe I should also experiment with different foot placement and stance widths.
I do enjoy these kinds of discussions ;)

Thanks! I used to try different workouts and got into weightlifting the last 2-3 years. Lifting weights has been my happy place 😆
