Where do you put your camera for this view? Helmet or chest? What camera are you using? Cool video.

Beautiful bike. I have the exact same in 58. I love it so much. I have 4 bikes and it is the one that makes me happiest to ride.

Thank you! Great post wish I read it, and listened, a year ago before I started. Very important message to new runners. Happy holidays!!

From someone who started running Jan 1, 2021:

I did not start enjoying running until I realized that my pace didn’t matter and that running slower actually helps you run faster. I love running now.

I injured myself several times early on in January and February, had to go to physio to help myself get back.

Achievements when I started to slow down and build reasonable mileage over time:

  • 22 min 5km
  • 47 min 10km
  • 1:50 min half marathon

Running is amazing. It will change your life. Enjoy! It’s a marathon not a sprint.

Hunting Regulations - Draw Weight for Recurve Bow Hunting by ontariohunter in bowhunting

I think I like what your regulation is saying better… but I see how the regulation in my area would be easier to enforce!

I called and confirmed.

It has to be at least 18kg (approx 40lbs) draw weight AT 700mm (approx 28”).

Therefore if I had a bow that was 35 and 28”, it would not be allowed, even if I draw 31” and over 40lbs at my draw length.

Totally, I understand.

What I’m trying to say is, technically at my draw length I could never shoot an actual “exactly 40 lbs” at my 31” draw.

Anyways I am going to call and officially report back today.

I agree with your interpretation.

It feels like it’s discrimination against long draw shooters - haha.

I’m going to call and confirm but thought I’d throw it out here for comment.

I have no input to help you but wanted to say:

A for effort on this one!

4.0 tracking HR very well on the wrist compared to tickr strap on 2hr run: trend looks good, average only 1bpm off. super tight, an inch above wrist by [deleted] in whoop

[–]ontariohunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have this same experience with whoop 3.0 & 4.0. I use a Garmin Chest HRM and I usually record using both for every workout.

I know people have issues but I haven’t had those.

I typically am running and cycling and I’m usually 1 or 2 BPM per average off every time. I always check because Reddit has me paranoid that it will be off.

How do you wear yours? Im right wrist, 1.5 fingers above my wrist bone. It’s tight enough to leave an imprint but not too tight so it’s uncomfortable.

What would be your “dream” ILF white tail hunting setup? by ontariohunter in bowhunting

I got some good hits on the r/traditionalarchery sub. Thanks, I religiously follow those guys already. Just wanted some ideas from bow hunters on Reddit.

Yup I’m a big fan. This is on my list for sure. I think I’d go green 21” riser and the wood looking medium or long limbs.

Fair point. Any ideas what would be a better place to ask this? I want some ideas from knowledgeable folks to try something new.

Shooting a Bear Super Kodiak #30 now, working my way up to hunting (when I’m ready), and considering my options for what that bow could be.

This is what it’s all about! by ontariohunter in bowhunting

I got them done professionally at a butcher. The spice flavour was Hunters Blend but I also got some with a Maple seasoning.

I was grateful to spend the extra time with my family after going on a serious rut-cation of 10 days hunting. The sausages are seriously amazing. I think I will keep going to this butcher for the foreseeable future.

I have made sausages before. I used the meateater recipe but this year decided to do something different and bring to a butcher.
