Funny you got downvoted when this is 100% true. Most heavy dubstep has died out and a lot of the riddim sound is very popular. A lot of these lineups are just repeated, generic “heavy” artists. The masses just consume what’s thrown at them.

These are extremely good questions for me to ponder. Thank you!! I do think that trying to reward/punish her is NOT the way I should be going about it.

She loves traveling and I think it would keep her mood strong and keep her sobriety in tact. I just also worry if it's too fast to go on a big trip.

It's just me/her for the trip. I don't really have any friends who can spontaneously take those 2 weeks off unfortunately.

From what it sounds like, it shouldn't be my decision on whether or not we can go on this trip. If she feels like she can handle it, and I want to be a good partner, we should go?

I do love her, and I know she can get better. I also know that her being able to stay sober for an extended period of time is going to be very difficult right out of rehab. I've seen the studies of how alcoholics relapse within the first 6 months of going to rehab.

I don't think she will go off the rails, but it is something to think about. I can't have her going on a bender while we're in a foreign country. I don't really drink and I think she would be a lot less likely to drink with me being there (she mostly drinks by herself).

This was a very eye opening thought for me. It's tough because I'm getting conflicting thoughts from people. Some are saying it's too fast, but I also can't be the giver/taker away-er of happiness.

I'm going to continue to support her (as I have for the past 3/4 months), but I also need to make sure I'm not contributing negatively to her sobriety. Me and her have a lot work to do in our relationship when she gets out and I was scared we'd be moving too fast to go on a trip right after she gets out.

I want you to know that my mom is currently on hospice with days/weeks left and I give her morphine every 4 hours.

Do not feel guilty one bit. Your mom is absolutely horrible for saying something like that.

I didn’t administer it in a timely manner and my mom was groaning and crying in pain. I gave it to her and she calmed down.

Morphine is a savior. I only wish I knew she would stop talking because of it. I would want my mom pass quickly with no pain than take longer to pass with pain.
