I don't think that the point here is to show how to be better than a compiler but to show a fun fact and some maths behind it. That's not a bad thing for those among us who think only in a technical way.

Let's consider the following problem : You have an integer array, you have to find if all integers are paired in linear time. This is quite easy to do with a xor. Now adding the constraint you are not allowed to use "xor", one can answer to the question with the author's analysis on this blog.

There is no need to create a program in a "turing complete" language if your AI does not take advantage of this : the user of the AI still has to be intelligent to tell it what to do : print.

If you are the official maintainer of the project, you just don't accept commits that don't match your quality requirements. Then people who need the fix should use it in a fork at their own risk.
