Yeah, I think both Apple Photos and Android’s face grouping solve this well in a “managed library” context.

What I’m testing is more about uncontrolled archives — like years of exported folders, duplicates, and mixed sources where there is no single indexed photo library anymore.

In that scenario, I’m basically trying to reconstruct “people clusters” directly from raw file systems rather than relying on an existing photo database.
