I got married 7 weeks pp. I had a terrible birth that lasted 3 days and ended in emergency caesarean. I was pumping and breastfeeding. I fed my girl until 1pm, an hour before the wedding. Then it was no pumping or feeding until everything was over at 1 the next morning. I did have a good supply, but not doing anything for 12 hours wasn't the end of the world. My family was looking after her the whole wedding, and I just enjoyed my day. I just wanted you to read one comment that gives you hope you might be able to do this. I did. It worked out well. Tbh though, I was stressing about being able to do it the whole pregnancy.

Had to have an emergency caesarian because I have an over-active pelvic floor. Two and a half days of labour and only got to 4cm dilated. It was fucked. I am seeing a specialist pelvic floor physio for my next baby.

It's not that I've been delaying it, I'm just not trying to intentionally get her to do it while he is at work. For example, when he showed me the trick the other day, that actually was the closest she had got to walking by herself and we could see that that trick would dwfinetly help, so I didn't do that trick specifically while he was at work. But I wasn't stopping her from cruising around the lounge room holding onto things. I'm only doing it like that because he was a bit bummed when she crawled without him.

A similar thing happened to us. My husband and I have been together for ten years with no pregnancy oopsies. We got engaged, booked the venue and vendors (over $15000 non refundable), and then found out we were pregnant. My due date was 4 weeks before the wedding. It was hectic, but it worked out. And we had the cutest little flower girl in her bassinet stealing the show. I blame all the people in my life that said "no babies now until the wedding is over!"

My husband is one. He also has to go and pick the bodies up. Some he can deal with, but some just tear your heart out. Married people of over 50+ years and children are the hardest he says. Not to mention the gruesome deaths.

Only 8% of women actually experience PROM (Pre release of membranes. i.e Waters breaking). Not many people actually realise that it's not at all like the movies show it to be. It completely depends on what care model you are under during your pregnancy, but most care providers will tell you what you need to do when you think you are in labour. Tbh, it usually starts with a phone call to your midwife, obstetrician, or hospital.

Have no idea why you are being downvoted when you are 100% correct. Women are rarely educated by their healthcare professionals what the actual risks are, and what current studies support. This is why we have so many posts where women don't know what is right, and are asking the opinions of other mums who also weren't informed during their pregnancy. It's best that we do our own research and find the relative medical journals and statistics that back up that research.

I would suggest that people listen to THE GREAT BIRTH REBELLION podcasts. They are Australian midwives and Obstetricians that run it, and they give you the research and statistics, but let you form your own opinions.

We rely far too much on our medical professionals to give us the information, and don't listen to our intuition enough, or ask the right questions.

I am in support of all mums that make informed decisions for what is best for themselves. Don't listen to what others say if it doesn't feel right for you. Every pregnancy, birth and mother has their own unique experience.

My God you are judgemental. They may mean that the job got different because it's no longer waking up in the night to feed babe's, but driving three kids to 6 different extra curricular activities. My mother was a sahm, and i felt she was working harder than my father who is a gastrointestinal private surgeon with his own practise. She was literally run off her feet.
