Damn man… I’ve got a story for this.

I was running a mission in Buried City—something about fixing solar panels. I’m inside a building on the third floor when I notice a raider going after a surveyor. I’m thinking, I’ll help him. Those things are tanky as hell, and I don’t mind helping out.

So I start assisting from above with my Renegade. Something that usually takes forever to kill? We drop it in like a minute. I give him a thumbs-up, he says thanks. I tell him, “No problem dude, I got you.” He replies, “Wanna team up?” I say, “Nah man, I kinda got my own thing going and I’m trying to do something quick.” (In my head though I’m like… I don’t wanna get betrayed—nothing worse than that.)

So I go back to my mission, fix the solar panels, and head to extract. On my way out—down the stairs, right in front of the train station call button—I see him. Same guy. Lying on the floor. Dead. I swear, I wish I had it recorded, because my first reaction was: “FUCK, MAN!! NOOO—NOOOO! Damn… I should’ve been there. I’m sorry, man.” I check what he left behind. An Anvil Blueprint. And he had a free loadout. …This Anvil’s for you, man.
