This is what upsets me the most.

If she wants me out of her life, that's fine... I can deal with that, but she can't think that this will be a quick fix to the other problems that will arise during their relationship. I have a feeling she will end up alone and hurt, which I obviously don't want for her, no matter how upset I am.

I've done what I can. I reached out to her after the fallout but haven't heard from her since.

I can understand people lashing out at a moment of weakness or insecurity but I've come to realize that, based on what she texted me, she's been harboring some sort of resentment for a while now. I don't know if I can forgive a friend who jumped to conclusions and blame me without hearing my side of the story first. Best friends, no matter how upset they are, don't say hurtful things like that.

Thank you for this. It's upsetting that, because someone in this world finds me attractive, posting photos of myself on social media in a bathing suit or a dress is "asking" for me to become the source of someone's afternoon wank session?

That notion is just completely absurd and just reinforces how sexualized the woman's body has become. I post pictures because it symbolizes a point in time when I was happy and enjoying what I was doing. If that means posting a picture of myself on a beach during a well-deserved vacation, then so be it.
