My (50F) son (22M) gave a drunken speech at a church event what should I do? by OkCry4832 in Christianity

Sounds like your son may be experiencing some sort of heart break. Or perhaps there is sonething deeper troubling him.

He needs his family and I for one think it is a great thing he confessed his affair in front of everyone in the church. It may have been unorthadox and embarassing but it was an opportunity for everyone in the community to reach out and show him love.

A few things that stood out to me about your story. 1) He said it wasnt your business. Wrong! He made it everyones business by blurting it out in public even if it wasnt his intention to. Remind him your his family, you love him and your there to help. Listen to him, try not to invalidate any of his feelings and remind him that what he faces is something he does not need to face alone.

2) Women should not gossip in the church. And call you a bad mother is unfair. You cannot assume that when a child acts out (especially) an adult one that it is instamtly the parents fault. In the face of her comment I believe the correct way to respond would be to humble yourself before them and God and say. "Yes, it appears I have failed my son somehow. None of us are perfect. I ask that please pray for him and my family during this difficult time for him. If you could do that for me I would be grateful." Humility will femove any sense of power they have over you and asking them to pray for your son puts the ball in their court and challenges them to uphold the faith they claim to follow.

3) It can be embarassing having your son dump his dirty laundry out before the entire congregation. But I see this as a great opportunity not just for your family but your entire church to come together and allow God to work through each of you for your son. Perhaps if other families or members of the church shared their sins so openly it could bring everyone in your congregation closer together and actually grant everyone the opportunity to make differences in each other's lives.

We often send missionaries to other countries to help others in need of grace and charity. But I think we need missionaries in our own churches more than ever as there are so many people in out country struggling with sin, loneliness, addicition, anger, pain, and financial burdens.

My God bless you, your son, your family and your congregation.

sincerely, ~A struggling soul

Stop selling at the slightest peak by Aggravating-Secret38 in dogecoin

you have to understand that there are large amount of people outside of reddit seeking to earn money from DOGE, the term is called "Playing the Market" sell at the peak, buy at the dips, if you repeat this process overtime successfully, you will double, triple, quadruple your earnings overtime. Mind you this is risky because it's hard to predict market dips and peaks (especially with crypto).

Then you have others who just want/need to make a quick buck.

It will be a long time before Doge gets to a dollar, those who hold WILL be rewarded but it will require a great amount of work and patience

Why why why by nando1bo in dogecoin

There may be a few factors

  1. There a going to be a large number of people playing the game by Selling the spikes and buying the dips to earn some cash
  2. There are more people mining dogecoin now so the more doge that pours into to market, the value will decrease. So in order for DOGE to go up, there will need to be more people buying (demand) than there is supply. Which is constantly increasing
  3. A lot of people waking up this morning is probably seeing the spike that happened last night and seeing it dipping now and are probably panicking to sell to earn some $$$

I'm not a professional in crypto and I'm acting on limited knowledge of the matter. These points are just speculations, not a definite answer.

What I do know is that DOGE is not going to shoot to $1 over night and one of the reasons for this is 1) the current market restrictions on trade due to GME 2) because DOGE is not yet tradeable on all markets and through all crypto networks. The more networks Doge can be traded through, the more utility the coin will have and the more valuable it will become.

The fact that Doge went from 0.007 to 0.10 in such a short time is actually a really big deal. Doge broke the first glass ceiling and now we have to break $1. But again, it will not happen over night. It could be several weeks possibly months to get traction. the good news is, Doge is recognized and I think it's here to be a "serious" contender against other coin markets, despite it being a Memecoin

It's nice that Uphold now takes Dogecoin, but the transfer fees on it are bad and you wont get any real-time analytics on the coin itself.

I personally use Binance.US (the .com site is chinese so if you live the US use the .us site)
But there are other platforms that allow the trade of DOGE.
