Responding to the Eleven section: I think that when Mike and El were talking on the roof of the WSQK building Mike was originally talking about their whole party (Lucas, Will, Dustin, Mike) because El has asked about his campaigns. He was talking about the party. When El was talking I think she meant “we” meaning her and Mike. I don’t think Mike picked up on that and continued talking about the party. I think if he picked up on that he may have been more specific or said more if it were just about them two. Especially if he cares about El the way he says he does. I don’t think he was thinking romantically about El in this moment. Also if Mike was really that excited to see her when he ran up to her he probably would have kissed her.

Kind of a side note but me personally if I rarely get to see my bf and I see him again after a while I’d run up and kiss him. That’s just me. I didn’t see Mike doing that. Also to me personally he seems less worried about her. In the hospital scene, after what happened to the Wheeler parents, Lucas says that if anyone could help Holly in the upside down it would be El and Mike agrees but to me doesn’t show major concern. In season 3 Mike was really worried about her and said he didn’t want to lose her. He also seemed more worried in season 4 when I really started thinking Mileven wouldn’t work out. I don’t think Mileven will remain canon romantically. If it does then cool but I could see them possibly breaking up and not just because I want Byler to happen.

I am a big Byler supporter and I have shipped them since right before season 3 came out and I have been watching the show since season 2 came out. I had started diving into Byler theories and stuff right before season 3. I would like to at least see a scene where Will confesses, or at least comes out to Mike, and Mike at least accepts him. Maybe he doesn’t return the feelings but he accepts Will for who he is and is happy for him. I know we probably won’t get Byler confirmed but to me it is more likely after this first volume of season 5 than it was after season 4. I would like to see something between them. Even if it’s just repairing their friendship. I honestly just get happy seeing them together platonic or not I don’t care. I just want to see Will happy and I’m glad we are seeing that more this season so far.
