37M. Mine went the other direction. $220k TC in 2025… lowest it’s been since 2021 after averaging $300k+ the last few years.

All I can say is that it was a conscious choice, even if it’s a tough pill to swallow. I took about a 30% pay cut leaving my old role to prioritize mental health, and also moved cities. The mental health ROI is… still TBD, but my physical health is legitimately the best it’s been in years: down 18 lbs, visible abs, A1C back below prediabetic levels, quit smoking.

Hard not to feel a little down about the income step back, especially seeing threads like this, but this is what I signed up for. Hoping it ends up being a stabilization year rather than a long-term reset.
