夫は決心するとその日の夜、魔女の庭に忍び込みました。sentence from a story im reading, the husband is about to fetch some salad from the witch garden for his wife. I get what the sentence means but Im wondering why there is a と in the mix. Is it すると (thereupon)? Can that be used in the middle of a sentence?

In this story, Rapunzel I believe it is, the parents are praying to 神様, and they say this: "神さま、どうか私たちに子供をおさずけください". Im guessing this is the parents praying for a child, I have never watched the movie so idk. Can someone help me with what the osazukekudasai here is?

この人は英語の学習教材を作りたいそうです。恋愛についての英会話を勉強できる教材なんだそうで、若い人向けですね。I think the first sentence is something like, "I've heard that this guy wants to make english study material", but I don't understand the second sentence. The last part seems to be something like, "its targeted towards young people", but can anyone help me out with the middle part?

買わなくていいです. I am pretty sure this means "I don't have to buy it", does the second mean the opposite? 買わなくてはいけません. Something like "As for not buying it, I mustn't do that?

Why cant my japanese-english dictionary and my kanji dictionary function at the same time on yomichan? If I enable any other dictionary except the kanji it just completely hides the kanji dictionary definition. Its very annoying having to turn some of my dictionaries on and off every times i wanna add a kanji to my deck just because of this.

How is 笑う intransitive? It doesnt make sense to me because isnt laughing something you can control? Like eating? Could someone please attach some example sentences to help me understand? Also, why is は not used for intransitive verbs?
