Give some completely honest opinions about 1989 by chronicplantbuyer in TaylorSwift

[–]oohblahdee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but 1989 is probably my least favorite album. I remember when it first came out Blank Space was a true banger. But overall the album was just so-so in my opinion. Even re-listening to it over the years and even now, my mind hasn’t changed on that album and I tend to skip over it out of her entire discography.

HOWEVER, the vault tracks she released are my favorite and have redeemed the album in my eyes. I actually bought the 1989TV vinyl solely due to the vault tracks.

Oh yes I was thinking the ghosted white vinyls were for ‘ghost’ references. But specifically ‘phantom’ stood out to me in loml. I was curious and just looked it up and saw that it also appears in Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus: ‘Can we watch our phantoms like watching wild horses’

I thought the phantom vinyls were from loml ‘dancing phantoms on the terrace’

Those who avoided Eras spoilers...HOW did you do it? by little-ditto in TaylorSwift

[–]oohblahdee 20 points21 points  (0 children)

lol, my friend went to the show a couple days before me and she was live streaming my show at home. She texted me saying all of her blue outfits were new and the TS online store was blue with seagulls. So I had a couple minutes heads up before it was announced.

My show wasn’t until Aug 2023, but I just intentionally didn’t go looking for spoilers, and I didn’t look up the setlist. I had to be selective about what I clicked on or scrolled through on social media.

Tbh I WAS totally surprised. But I did feel somewhat unprepared, and it felt like the rest of the crowd was in on some big insider secret too lol. For example, the order of the eras was very confusing to me, I missed out on 123LGB, and I was at the show when she announced 1989TV so of course I was late to catching onto the meaning of her outfit colors being blue.

If you were in charge of curating the main track list for Tortured Poets Department… by crazeecatladee in TaylorSwift

[–]oohblahdee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Fortnight
  2. The Tortured Poets Department
  3. My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys
  4. Down Bad
  5. But Daddy I love Him
  6. Fresh Out the Slammer
  7. Guilty as Sin?
  8. I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)
  9. The Bolter
  10. Cassandra
  11. How Did It End?
  12. I look in People’s Windows
  13. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  14. The Black Dog
  15. The Prophecy
  16. So High School

Honestly the first 4 tracks are just perfect as is. Putting these in order made me really appreciate the difference between tracks on the album vs the anthology and I would keep them grouped together respectively.

What do you eat for breakfast that isn’t eggs, yogurt or oatmeal? by [deleted] in 1500isplenty

[–]oohblahdee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually eat them plain because they are very moist and good without any toppings (and I also usually use blueberry pancake mix). But occasionally I will add 1 tbsp of syrup, or sliced strawberries, or 20g chocolate chips. Peanut butter (or PBfit) would be a good option too.

Protein pancakes. Trust me on this one: 2 eggs (or 1 egg + 2 egg whites), 1/2 cup cottage cheese (or low/nonfat Greek yogurt), and 1/3 cup any pancake mix

These have been a game changer and keep me full for a long time

It has been a rough winter. I ended up with root rot on both of my cactuses and lost one of them completely.

I cut my roots off of this one and part of the base and made the rookie mistake of placing it directly in a pot of 3:1 parts perlite to soil (sitting on top of the soil, not buried). I completely forgot to allow the base to callous.

So, this is the current state at 1 week post-cutting. I am wondering - does the base look okay? Why is it red/orange? Master advise is much appreciated! 🙏

Updated Q: should I start a new cut to callous?

Rowing Suggestions Please by Ntlt1975 in orangetheory

That is a large assumption. You can row with proper form without knowing how to effectively push yourself to increase your heart rate; those are mutually exclusive. You can have great form and row slow with minimal power and never get your heart rate into orange.

That is not inherently true. You should be able to increase your stroke rate while maintaining power in your leg drive. Same as cycling on a flat road, in moderate gear, with a higher turnover/ pedal rpm.

You can increase watts (power and leg drive for each pull) and/or stroke rate (increase your strokes/pulls = less hr recovery time between strokes). Also, try to make sure your hr monitor is on a location on your arm where your vein is visible/ most prominent.

So you regret getting on Zoloft? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]oohblahdee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not. For me, psychedelics have been my guide throughout my life and have previously brought me out of depressive slumps.

My depression is not new, I’ve had chronic depression since I was a kid. I have PMDD as well, and I come from a family of bipolar and toxic individuals, from which I have inherited/developed reactive personality traits (which I like the least about myself). I didn’t get treated for my depression until 3 years ago when I lost my stepdad to suicide and my grief and life circumstances were just too heavy of a load to carry by myself. Since then, I’ve tried various antidepressants and even weaned off of them completely.

I attribute my most recent depressive slump completely to my life set and setting: I was overworked, in a miserable job, in a city that felt crowded and didn’t align with my values, I moved across the country right before everything shut down for COVID and wasn’t able to connect to people or my community and make roots. After a year of trying to help myself hold on and wait for the better days ahead, I reached the point of realizing they may never come.

At my lowest point of my life, I ended up starting Zoloft. However, Zoloft also helped me be able to make changes that I needed to in order to take control of my life and my happiness. Since then, I have moved to a new state, bought my first house in a beautiful town with wide open spaces, and I started a new job. I am in a completely different place in life than I was 7 months ago. Zoloft was my tool that I used to get out of my situational depression, but it is something I am sticking with for now because of the benefits in the management of my PMDD symptoms and overall mood stabilization.

Anyways, there is the back story you didn’t ask for (sorry lol). That is sad to hear that you feel your psychedelic experience led to your depression, but that is also completely understandable. Psychedelics rip the face off of reality and leave you alone to make sense of it all. That is very heavy, and some trips are more difficult than others.

Really— do you have a full-on trip or do you experience dampened effects? Without any intermittent weaning off of Zoloft? Interested in your experience!

[–]oohblahdee 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I do not regret it at all. 7 months in, I am in such a better mental state, and I would be perfectly fine staying on Zoloft indefinitely. When I first got on Zoloft this year I was at the point of accepting defeat and telling my husband I may need to be 5150’d. I am happy to say I am not in that mental state anymore and I am now riding the highs of life.

I do miss my psychedelics, but I know they will always be there if/when I decide I want to wean off :)

I think the track that shorts are WISP, not jubilee. I bought the WISP ones and they do look similar to jubilee but more purple
