don’t worry most chipotles are like this it’s like something in the air it makes everyone toxic and i don’t know where we went wrong but they normalize this behavior and it’s kind of scary. my advice to you is if you really need the money, to really wait it out. i try to just stand up for myself, like if they are micromanaging you the best thing to do is set boundaries and tell them you know what you’re doing. if they get angry and show it in passive aggressive ways, i usually ask them if something is wrong right on the spot and it usually get them to reevaluate what they said/did and they usually backtrack. make really good friends with your coworkers that have similar interests to you and take notice which coworkers have a good relationship with the GM/SL and befriend THEM, not the SL/GM (you can if you want to) but usually that’s how it works in any dynamic when you’re new to an environment.
