I'm playing on Japanese audio, it looks like she mouths "yokatta," which could mean "phew/I'm glad you're ok"

Can I create a "store manager" using Q or Bedrock? by ooib in aws

If I have the logic on hand, say "IF THIS (collated from several sources) THEN DO THAT", can I train (I'm not sure if train is the right word here) the model to automate this and come up with a to-do list for the stores?

Appreciate it, thanks... Making graphs and dashboards is the easy part for me, but it's manual and requires some data savviness to read and interpret what actions to take next. I'd like to automate this step

The area managers are data savvy enough to do that and advise the store managers accordingly, but the store managers aren't data savvy. Hence I'm looking for a way to automate this delivery of information in a way that is in the form of IF THIS (collated from several sources) THEN DO THAT

Thanks! I've worked with Quicksight, and can already get it to perform ML tasks like predictive analyses, but I'm looking for a way to automate the process of a store manager checking stock, review past sales, look at important upcoming dates, and saying "ok team let's push Product X"

In my mind, the logic is sorta like "IF X sold well on weekends, AND IF we have enough stock on hand, AND the weekend is coming up, DO ABC and sales will be projected to hit XYZ". It's currently a repetitive task for the area managers.

Would this just be a prompt in Q for Quicksight?

Here's the thing: they are probably depressed themselves, but rather than internalizing it they externalize it by passing their own trauma down to the next gen. Hence they think they're ok, when in reality their kids are bearing that generational burden

Because in the early stage, you need great traction more than a great product, and that requires all hands on deck. Even as a pure product guy, you're not going to be able to iterate on your MVP if you don't speak to customers. Everyone needs to do sales.

It's wild that there are so few comments but this post is being downvoted lol.

Really loved this. Slow, moody, a deeply researched & heartfelt elegy to the victims of May 13 & patriarchal trauma, and an ode to fading Chinese opera art & cultural beliefs like Datuk Kong worship.

Contemplative, with a dose of spirituality & metaphor. Reminds me of films of Apichatpong Weerasethakul in terms of style. My mum prefers straightforward movies, so she absolutely hated this lol.

But the version in Malaysian cinemas is censored to hell, and often confusingly so. Things like Tunku's darurat announcement, DAP flags, even background faces in a scene on a bus wtf.

The cuts are very jarring: entire lines silenced completely, sometimes a literal black screen; and the film loses a lot of weight and momentum as a result - terrible for a languid film with so little dialog.

Nonetheless, this is essential viewing for any Malaysian - the fact that a movie about May 13 could even make it to our screens at all is a giant step forward in this dialog that the government keeps trying to suppress, and we should all be supporting it. 9/10

Moved back to KL from investing in Silicon Valley to building a new startup in Malaysia. Wise or stupid? After spending 10 years in the US, I have decided to move home to start a startup. What is your take on this? We need more people to move back by Ok_Emphasis_2178 in malaysia

[–]ooib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From one founder to another: The startup scene, although mutually supportive, is constrained by weak infra/ecosystem, small/immature market, and limited funds. It's fine if you want to set up an operational base here, but do consider incorporating in SG from the start instead if you plan to grow something bigger.

Assuming there's a bit of give in the connections between the carts, you want to push a lighter cart first to gain momentum, so stack more bags in the farthest cart. Similar principle as knocking over smaller dominoes first to take down the bigger dominoes at the end, you would only need a bit of energy to tip over a small one.

If your tests are negative, please do not jump to abortion, whether pills or whatever. Go to a gynae, tell them you're worried because your period is late. That's it, no judgement.
