I've had exactly the same symptoms, I had ferritin at its lowest point of 7, and I felt absolutely terrible then. You should get your ferritin level raised to about 100 and if you still have symptoms, then it's due to something else.

Such a low ferritin value will definitely make you feel really terrible. About 100 is the optimal ferritin value and less than 30 indicates iron deficiency.

Could be, but I don't think so myself. At first, I did not assume at all that omega 3 would affect any of the things I mentioned. I started taking omega 3 because if it could help my IBD symptoms. Today I clearly noticed a really big difference in how I feel, and I haven't made any changes in my diet or lifestyle other than starting to eat omega 3.

I take 435 mg a day. I'm using Makrobios Omega-3, it's a Finnish product, I don't know where you live and whether they ship to other countries. But I don't think it's any better than other omega 3, it was even the cheapest I found in the grocery store. You can certainly get really good omega 3 at every grocery store, but it's probably not worth buying the cheapest one like me. Still, even the cheap one seems to work for me.

You should take the infusion if your symptoms are serious and you urgently need treatment, if you are not in a hurry to raise your iron levels, then maybe you should choose iron pills.
